I'm on the weird side that I don't want it to become JA haste. It shifts to make that pet insanely more necessary to fulltime. I'd rather it just not compete with haste but stay under magical haste cap.

I do think BST still needs JA haste access and Fencer needs to be more useful. I'd just rather see it tied to the master and not a specific pet.

You see, there's this thing where something can be good, without it being automatically forced into use.

You can have it be ja haste without needing to have it on all the time, always.

There shouldn't be "it's completely pointless" vs "I need it for literally everything"

I know that if you've played this game for more than 5 minutes it would be hard to believe, but it is true.

There's this thing called an opinion. Shocking! And it doesn't hurt you or your desires at all. It's hard to believe but true.

If your knee-jerk reaction is to tell someone they don't know how to play the game for opposing how you feel, you're saying more about yourself than you think you're saying about me.

There's also that problem of BST having a crap selection of offensive shields.

You got deliverance and Evalach augments, good enough. Do find it funny that i dont think there is a single pet related shield sides the reward one?

... except both deliverance and evalach are pretty much worthless and the augments were worthless too.

Adapa Shield and Sacro bulwark are both fantastic defensive shields, that none of the rest compare to.

Yes, bst has long been lacking pet shields and decent dd shields. The opportunity passed by again.

The official image for BST even shows us having a shield.

So one would think we'd have shields with better stats related to BST besides killer effect.

blurred shield +1 alone would be a welcome change, but pet shields would be great also.

I'll be using this guide to help me out. I quit about 8 years ago. I was working on guttler when I quit and have most of the currency. I don't think that weapon is very good now days, but I will probably finish it at some point. Thank you very much will give feedback and ask questions as they arise. Have not really played at all since the last abyssea came out.

Imo Ive been using the yellow beetle, with Naegling/TP Bonus Axe offhand.

Rhino Wrecker (Gives -25% Defense Down) - > Savage Blade -> Light -> Repeat

Light SC hurts her quite a bit. I don't like using beast on this because it suck using a Jug every fight or having to reset timers at the moogle between fights for bestial loyalty.

That depends on how common jugs are on your server though

no reason to try to solo normal. have to deal with phase 2 and the drop rate isn't any better than easy really.

Dang that sucks, I think I got confused when doing the dragon/WoE with a buddy. I guess the party/buff rules are different in there?

I have buffs from COR and GEO usually so not a true solo, but AlluringHoney tears her up pretty easily and takes little damage most of the time.

Sweet, honestly taking 10% off saves some time....

It's kinda funny BST can do millions of HP in damage with one attack lol..

What does it take to make BST useful in w3 dyna? I have heard some groups use them for the slug debuff. I would like to try it but don't want to invest a lot of time into getting +3 AF and relic gear, would prefer to use some carryover gear from other jobs if possible.

Thats super cool.

But its just useful if done pretty earlier in the fight isnt it?

Not quite common seeing BSTs right at start though

It depends on your groups set up, if you are going full DD parties then slug is excellent. The TP/WS sets from front page are the best around.

If your group is hybrid group(one Magic WS dmg group/one Physical WS dmg group) I recommend Swooping Zhivago as your pet as it does DEF-25%, MDB-25 for W3 boss to support both groups.

Not much, just to make it useful. If you aren't going to be meleeing then just master, -Ready timer gear, and maybe some basic pet macc gear since Purulent Oooze can be resisted. If you are meleeing then do the TP sets from the front page with Ambu axe, the Decimation set, a DT set, and that's a wrap. BST isn't a heavy DD but the Doli/Decimation combo combines the utility with enough dps to justify the slot IMO.

Agreed with Beanen, I do slug for wave 3 boss, Unleash > Purulent Ooze until that effect lands, Corrosive Ooze, then either Sweeping Zhivago or my favorite, Fluffy Bredo, who is great for magical setups since he gets MDB-25 plus he does moderate dark damage.

If you’re using the /bstpet command then there’s a bug with Gs and all of the new pet moves that were added that I brought up like 2mo ago that was supposed to be fixed.

Go into your Windower > Gearswap directory and find statics.lua

Find this line:
bstpet_range = {min=672,max=782}
Change it to this:
bstpet_range = {min=672,max=798}

You have to relaunch or `//lua reload gearswap` To update the change.

This fix is now in the dev repo and should be merged to live in a bit, so it should be fixed moving forward.

What are the pets that everyone would like to see brought to the 119 cap? (seems easier to me to just remove the cap and make all jugs max level but idk)

Presto Julio (Flytrap) - We currently do not have a max one. This is a great enfeebler pet.
Fatso Fargann (Leech) - We currently do not have a max one. Excellent Atk-50% debuff and a steal TP move.
Gorefang Hobs (Smilodon) - Would nice nice if they just made this the HQ of current tiger (all of the new tiger moves) increased the stats a little. I prefer the Smilodon to the black tiger but having both options would be nice.
Crude Raphie (Adamantoise) - We currently do not have a max one. With the DEF+50% transfering to master. maybe increasing this to 100% to match the Jovial Edwin?
Amigo Sabotender (Sabotender) - Doubt they will ever give us one of these again.

Are there any others yall would like to see?
