Is Fudo really worth it?
Hi, I just came back from the game, and see a lot of new WS's SAM has, I see this one people talk about called Fudo, but it looks like it cost some decent gil to unlock it. Is it actually worth investing gil in? Or will I be just fine with Y/G/K and Rana since they are free?
Oh man I thought Lhova made another thread, was mistaken. Its a game breaking ws that makes everyone cry, so yes its worth it.

Fudo is 100% needed, not a question of worth. However judging by your OP you likely dont have Tsurumaru thus are even further behind.

Even if you're using a lvl85 era GKT, unlock Fudo. It's the single best GKT WS for conventional DD setups. You'll also want Shoha and if you don't have Kasha and Rana for some reason, unlock them as well.

Yes, fudo is pretty much the best ws in game atm for your usual pug dd setup.

just a couple of things that had he click Forums > Stickied Tab for guide, would have seen fudo as a Listed ws and mention of how OP it is, not to mention Self Light skillchains.
Or the 9 million Fudo Screenshots all over ffxiah and Guildwork.
I'm not concerned he asked, im concerned he wanted it spoon fed without looking first in places that are fairly obvious.
Its like the guy who has KOga and asked on the Hukong +1 legs Item " I dont know how Fudo WOrks" but I have a Mythic. I mean really now.

If someone didn't read up on the Weaponskill update but was aware of when Shoha was better than Fudo prior to that, its possible to have some confusion and the question would essentially boil down to "Do I have enough attack in most common events to make it worthwhile".
Though I'd assume someone who was aware of those situations would also know how to do a few tidbits of research and see that Fudo crushes everything now, its not like the guide's OP is overly obvious. "Most of your WS will come from Tachi: Fudo" could be catered to a specific example, much like the MNK guide had sets catered to full buff, pre-ilvl Tojil.

Regardless, to OP (weither he knew this prior or not) and to new Sams, Fudo is worth it. Can get Dice, Residue, Coins from WOE or purchasing them from bazaars and get Torigashiranotachi -1 from the Splintery chest in Rulude Gardens.

Absolutely not, go level PLD, unlock torclever, use the i117 GS and own all the things. SAM is overrated.

I hope that's a joke.
With enough DA/TA/QA gears and a good amount of sTP, you're talking about Fudo > Fudo all over the place. Hadn't played SAM in about 6mos and just got Fudo and started testing it out. SAM is pretty OP, kinda crazy how strong a DD it is. Highly encourage you to find out.
