Speaking of tissues...
Quote: Just a day before Election Day, Vice President Joe Biden told CNN that he “doesn’t agree with the oddsmakers” who are betting that a Republican wave will flip control of the Senate.
“I predict … we’re gonna keep the Senate,” he said in a CNN interview broadcast Monday. “I’ve been in 67 races all told and I don’t get the feeling that the oddsmakers are getting.”
Despite Biden’s optimism, most of the smart money is on the GOP. The party needs to win six seats to wrestle the Senate back from Democrats, but at least ten seats are in play. And while a Republican Senate and Democratic White House are sure to clash on a slew of issues, Biden is hopeful that the parties can find common ground during Obama’s last two years in office.
“The Republicans have to make a decision whether they're in control or not in control,” he said. “Are they gonna begin to allow things to happen? Or are they gonna continue to be obstructionists? And I think they're gonna choose to get things done."
Biden’s been one of the highest-profile Democrats on the trail for embattled candidates this midterm elections, as many Democratic candidates have shied away from appearing with Obama, lest they be tied to the increasingly unpopular president. But Biden’s tour through swing states comes amidst another reality: a potential bid for president in 2016.
Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is the overwhelming Democratic favorite, but Biden hasn’t been shy in suggesting that he’s weighing another run. He told CNN that he wouldn’t base his decision off of Clinton.
"That's not the reason not to run or to run," he told Borger. "The question is ... am I convinced I am best positioned of anyone else to lead the country the next four years?
(Sidenote: this is a MSN article, so please forgive them for obvious spelling/grammar errors. They aren't known for journalistic excellence)
So, Obama and Biden will be crying lots tomorrow night. Should we send them a care package of tissues?

idk...they don't seem to care a lot about anything... I would think Obama is more concerned with his marriage falling apart than anything.

Warren G. Harding? It's obvious that Nik is talking about William H. Harrison.
The fool probably even voted for him, and was at his inauguration ceremony too.

If the republicans take the senate, the only difference will be the news networks swapping stories and replacing who is to blame for congress not getting anything done.

Pretty much, nothing is going to happen in 2015-2016 regardless.

Only the Republicans and Obama would be left for blame. The news networks make little difference anymore. Cats outta the bag which network is owned by either side. Isn't it interesting that the most "do nothing house" is filling with more R and the senate is bleeding D? People may have finally stopped listening to the "news".

Pretty simple, the GOP is not going to have enough votes to break a filibuster.

Nothing would be better than have the Democrats filibuster what the republican party was (is about to be) put in senate to do.
All that would accomplish is a Republican President and more senate and house loses in 2016.
Democrats want to keep the voters occupied with handouts, abortion and other gayness.
So by all means Filibuster everything that comes down the pipes because Democrats have nothing to fall back on in the first place.
P.S. Are you even capable of responding with more than one (occasionally two) sentences?

If Republicans gain a majority in the Senate, it would be a pretty good indication that filibustering and other obstructionist tactics are a good way to get elected. With very few exceptions, partisan control of the Presidency alternates with every president. If you discount the presidents who served 2 consecutive terms or people who weren't elected like Ford, only 2 times in the last 150 years have 2 members of the same party occupied the White House back to back. It would be quite unusual for a Republican to not be the next president. Similarly in Congress, partisan control of each house alternates almost every election cycle, with midterms having a slightly lower turnover rate.
It's the undecided voters that swing elections in places where the base isn't overwhelmingly one party or another, and, in general, they vote for the opposite of who was there last.
Pretty simple, the GOP is not going to have enough votes to break a filibuster.
Or a supermajority to overturn a presidential veto. Without cooperation, nothing of consequence could come from either party controlling both houses while the other controls the White House. No doubt they'll try to defund ACA, which would be like saying "this bandaid didn't instantly heal my wound, better rip it off and let it bleed".

A one sentence explanation was all that was required, it completely covers why nothing will reach the WH. As for your baseless assumptions, not even worth responding to. Filibustering doesn't flip states. Expect the exact opposite situation for the Senate GOP in 2016, as they will have to be defending a lot of seats in blue states.

Filibustering doesn't flip states. Expect the exact opposite situation for the Senate GOP in 2016, as they will have to be defending a lot of seats in blue states. See, this is why you are wrong on so many levels:
A GOP Congress would produce a whole lot of bills that the president would never sign, which will place him in the one position he never has been before in his political career: accountability.
See, by having a bill go to him straight away (instead of having his lapdog Reid preventing any bills from reaching the White House by not even bringing up any House bills to the Senate floor), Obama is placed in either vetoing a bill, or signing it. Either way, it makes Obama accountable for what he does, instead of denying anything he has been doing for the past 6 years.
Which will be detrimental for Clinton, since she is basically Obama v.2. Anything he passes, his liberal base will hate him (and Clinton) for it. Anything he veto's, everyone else will hate him (and Clinton) for it.
So, a Republican Senate tomorrow night will almost guarantee a Republican president in 2016. Which is why Obama and his cronies are so anxious to "get the vote out" which also is detrimental to his cause (since people will tend to vote against Obama, not for him, thanks to his dismal popularity).

In Vic's defense, he voted for Obama twice. Please don't expect much from him.

On another note. It's slightly possible for the republicans to get 60 seats tomorrow. While this only has a slim chance of happening lets say it does.. Is it racist to Tar and Feather the POS out of the white house? I could think of other things that ARE racist.. but tar and feathers would suffice..

Actually this is starting to have severe impacts on company medical plans across the nation. I'm no where near an executive and yet my medical insurance is about to skyrocket to absurd amounts. We just got briefed about it the other day due to it being the new fiscal year and time to re-elect benefits. I'm lucky in that I live in a foreign country with affordable healthcare so I can just go on the economy as it's cheaper then using insurance. Many of my coworkers stateside aren't as fortunate.
Seriously the whole thing needs redone as it's untenable. It's basically shoveling money into big Pharma and giving insurance companies a huge excuse to skyrocket rates.
I'm betting either the Republicans gain massive seats in the senate or are one seat short of the majority.
