You know who we should really get the torches and pitchforks out for is andrew zimmern... Is anyone else offended by his finger knuckle hair!? we should burn his house down!
Any excuse to get the mob mentality going is a good excuse, right?

Have you made your quota of inciting mobs this week?

what grinds my gears to the nth degree is that all the cool/classic cartoon shows aren't broadcasted on CartoonNetwork anymore. Its all on boomerang :/
i'd riot over that

Fun fact: if you're a scientist, you're most likely a liberal/democrat

http://www.people-press.org/2009/07/09/section-4-scientists-politics-and-religion/

I am also, how you say, just sayin'
Well of course scientists tend to be more liberal/democrat.

Republicans demands results, and will cut funding to projects that are obviously wasting time/effort/money.

Democrats will just keep giving money away and "hope" for results.

So, most scientists' living is made while "researching" without producing results. Case in point: Climate Science.

Engineers are actually the exact opposite, most are conservative. It's then difference between paper theory and practice. In theory a society based on communal ownership of all property is ideal, in practice it's impossible and results in a social dystopia full of misery and suffering.

It was funny at first, but now certain child-like minds here on this website are starting to take you seriously for your satire.

Plus, it's getting annoying to be referred to as evil and such.

Yeah, but we are generally associated in the same grouping.

Maybe I'm just being a nic-pic today? That other thread could be a reason...

Everyone's betting on sure things.

The only real tossup is if the Republicans will take the Senate or not.

Any wagers on that?

That's not a toss up at this point. The only question is if NH and NC make it a 53 or 54 seat majority.

This is pretty exciting, Obama is set to become the biggest midterm loser president in recorded history.

Realclearpolitics.com had the senate races at more or less dead-even a couple days ago. Now it's showing Dems at 45 seats, 'Pubs at 47, with 8 toss-ups. It'll be an interesting election day regardless of the outcome.

Edit: The site's "no toss-up" outcome is saying 52 for the 'Pubs, 47 for the Dems, and 1 independent to rule them all.

Well, just 20 more seats lost in the House would tie him with Truman and 7 seats in the Senate to tie to Eisenhower....

A 7-seat Senate loss seems likely. I doubt they'll lose any more than that, though.

rcp senate map

My bet 6 of 9 on the toss ups and republicans are up 2 in the end

AK: Sullivan (R)
CO: Gardner (R)
GA: Perdue (R)
IA: Ernst (R)
KS: Roberts (R)
KY: McConnell (R)
LA: Landrieu (D)
NH: Shaheen (D)
NC: Hagan (D)

rcp is now calling KY for McConnell, which is fair. idk wtf happened to Grimey, but it appears she cracked like cheap glass

Polling is often used to shape public opinion until the very last days when pollsters hit the wall of their credibility. No one wants to be remembered as wrong in the next cycle. The last few days of polling are all people remember in the next cycle.

The most frequent rule I think that almost always holds true is that if an incumbent doesn't have a majority before the election the undecideds almost never break their way.

Much different, I've actually seen what a communist dystopia looks like while you have the extreme luxury to go buy a starbucks whenever you want. You are so over privileged that you've started to think your privilege is actually oppression.

21.9% chance Republicans will control 52 seats, 21.6% chance Republicans will control 53 seats. 73.0% chance Republicans take control of the senate.
Source

I'd bet on 53 seats based on the statistics.

I wish the people of NJ would be smart enough to vote out Booker, but it doesn't really matter to me any more. Voting all republicans this time, although really only two races on my ballot have an opposition anyway (the rest are various state and local races with unchallenged republicans) and Frelinghuysen will never lose, he'll probably die in office. That and he was one of two out of a hand full of politicians that wrote emails back to me.

Retiring (Before age 34 :P ) to Serbia about a month after election day, lol. Doing an early Christmas at Thanksgiving with the family one last time, instead of waiting any longer. That and the airfare is way cheaper, lol, although I have a sweet 7 hour layover in Norway now.

Have fun America!

Maybe I'll come back to visit in a few years if you ever get your act together.

Lol, it just jumped to 74% now, with, what I speculated happening.

53 seats now has the lead with 21.8% vs. 21.5 for 52.
