Does anyone know a good way to get the FFXI models to a better type than .MQO? I know if you use the modelviewer you can take your current model and turn it into a .MQO (Metasequoia) file, which isn't compatible with any modelling tool.

Does anyone know of another way?

I've found that most other modeling programs are good at converting TO .mqo, but not so much the other way around. However, I've never considered using another modeling program since I only learned modeling through Metasequoia because 1) I'm cheap and 2) it's what works with the ModelViewer export.

Are you just used to a different program and looking to work through that? Bear in mind that the only things you can do to the model's file is move vertices and adjust the UV. To add/remove vertices and things like that, you'll need to use VRS.
