@flav you can not make blue meth without adding additional chemicals or dyes to it making it even more dangerous than it already is. Walters method was saying the blue tint was from it being pure...
so BLUE METH doesn't exit.

So a KID would still need to be exposed to the show before understanding what that toy bag is.

lol @ your argument that it doesn't exist because a pure form of meth isn't blue... Whether or not pure meth is blue has not effect on whether drug dealers sell meth that is colored to be blue... One might even argue that they color it blue because of the show to increase sales... I'd imagine meth heads aren't the brightest bunch around and they could sell em an even more toxic batch because they watched the show and think well this stuff must be the ***!

All speculation on my part but the argument could be made... Saying something doesn't exist because it doesn't exist exactly as it does in the show is laughable though...

Blue Meth is still out there...

In any case... the color is irrelevant...

The color is not irrelevant. Since we are talking about a child here. If a child DOES get exposure to meth through let's say anti drug program they are going to be told what it looks like color textures whatever....you have to ignorant to think that cops would say that it now comes in blue because of the popular breaking bad show.

Just because there are some morons dying the drugs doesn't mean it is a significant amount of the meth distribution.

So back to the point a child still would not know what the blue bag was on that toy unless there already were a allowed to watch the show from their parents changing this whole argument.

Good luck with them. If I were Toys R Us, i wouldn't really revert the decision though. Unless there's a significant proof that the people who signed this petition are the people who actually shop at Toys R Us and are their main stream revenue customers.

because they took the time to see if the ppl on the moms petition were mainstream customers? or you just don't want it change?

Considering people are calling the people who hold views of that being helicopter parents, and it is a parent who started a petition who would probably rally her peers - i.e fellow parents, it's safe to assume that they are more likely to be their mainstream customers than a petition held by a guy who likes to collect toys, rallied by some actors.

I don't really care nor does it concern me that whether a toy shop across the atlantic sells that toy or not. As I said in a earlier post that I haven't been into my local toys r us for more than 10 years.

All I said was , if I were Toys R Us, i.e. if i was the person who decides on these things, I would think that the florida mum's petition is more likely to hold more value than the other guy's, unless there is further evidence to say otherwise.

Of course, I don't work for Toys R Us, nor do I hold any data about people who sign these petitions. this is just a personal opinion. (you know, forum, making a post about your own views etc!).

Aaron Paul could always start a petition...
He went one better, and shared a link to Daniel Pickett's counter-petition, which is now just 35k signatures short of drowning out the Florida mom's petition.
He has a point, however. I'd be more worried about my own nephew getting his hands on a copy of GTA V or Call of Duty than I would about him getting his hands on a figure of a fictional tv character. Or one of my nieces getting her hands on a Barbie doll, which does nothing except promote unrealistic ideals on how women should look and dress.

Poor Mattel. Barbie and American Girl? My my! It's as if girls today don't enjoy something their mothers and grandmothers did. Barbie is becoming passe? Shocking!

What's to be done with all of the annual, Holiday Barbies from 1989 to 1994 or the global ones in indigenous garb that are collecting dust in my parents' attic? Oh wait! I guess they're probably just going to continue to collect dust in my parents' attic.

You're worthless Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tin Man and Cowardly Lion! Do you hear me? WORTHLESS!

I guess I should make a petition or *** on the internet. Ehhh...I don't really care that much that kids now don't enjoy things that I did.

Toodle-ooo, Barbie, and bastardized American Girl (that moved away from the books when Mattel got its grubby fingers on them)! Bon voyage!

EDIT: If you're buying Barbies for your nieces you're A.)not actually listening to their requests or B.)"winging it" when you shop for them. Bad uncle! BAD!

You honestly think that if the color is different that's all it needs to be considered something different?

Say they do get the toy... Do you think gets won't ask what it is? If not their parents then their friends or an older student?

As for if it's significant or not idk much, if anything, about meth or its distribution but do you know enough about it to make that kind of statement either or is it just how you think it is?

Your entire point is irrelevant... Kids are a very curious bunch and when you start introducing them to things they start to inquire as to what they are... (see above) Kids aer also not as stupid as you make them out to be... if changing the color of something was all we needed to do to foll them... Life would be a lot easier man...

The point of all of this is that it's not really an argument about what is or isn't innapropriate to sell at Toys R Us...

This is about someone disagreeing with the business practices of the store and then the store making a decision based off of that...

I'm sure if it was something that you actually agreed with then you wouldn't be making a huge stink about it...

Personally I don't really care if they sell it there or not but I definitely understand the decision they made to remove the product... Seemed like the only logical move at that point with attention from a numerous amount of media outlets nationwide...

Also, the whole argument that "oh hey there are other products on Toys R Us shelves that are way worse than a doll depicting a meth kingpin" is a really weak one. That, and it's just asking for people to step up and try to get that stuff taken down for the reasons you've provided yourselves lol...

Edit: Please keep this on the shelves because there are products up there already that are way worse for kids!

Well this should be right up your ally then. Because if an action figure is to horrific for ppl to handle and needed a nation wide coverage, i can only imagine what they might think of this.

Porn App Coming to Nintendo Wii U

And since were on the topic of ppl not being able to handle real life things (or to idiotic to realize a topic about porn might be adult themed) ... CONTENT WARNING!

And for the record... No. I am not going to look for additional sources on this. If it means that much to you (whomever) then do it yourself.

somebody's response to the video:

My thoughts on the first video: Why is it OK for them to have a child commit a crime
to throw their agenda around?

edit: fixed...

Well you're the one trying to make them aware of it... I mean the guy in the video you posted even thinks it's dumb...not only for being on the wii but just for having a "netflix of Porn" in the first place...

In any case, and for the last time, what you guys are arguing for is irrelevant as it doesn't even have anything to do with what happened. From what I've read about this from the article and the mother's statements she watches and is a fan of the show and this is most likely where her knowledge of what the action figure comes from. This whole ordeal has less to do with making sure kids don't get a hold of this particular figure but as to what it's seen to represent and where it is.

She questioned the values of the store that they even chose to market this particular toy in the first place. Personally I think it has more to do with her familiarity with the show as the reason she singled it out. Had she or others been more familiar with some of the other toys and their siginificance maybe they would take the same stance on those as well or maybe they see them as more of a break from reality than a chem teacher turned drug kingpin...

I don't see what kind of point you're trying to make with the wii supporting a porn app or what it has to do with Toys R Us... In the end Toys R Us made their own decision to remove the product from the shelves so yeah...

I do think it's pretty hilarious that you attempt to make a point then add to it by stating you will not further research it... it was pretty humorous...

And last I knew, both the Heisenberg figure and the GTA games were both sold by TRU until TRU pulled Breaking Bad merch, while choosing to leave GTA on it's shelves. Like I said, pants on head to leave one and pull the other "due to drug related reasons".
Again, petition Toys R Us to pull those items from the shelf.

It's up to them to do so or not.

She doesn't "need" to do anything... Like I said in my post as well it might be simply that she is not aware of the game, what it is or what it entails... It doesn't need to make sense. It is what it is. Many people have already complained about the game but I don't recall anything specifically being aimed at Toys R Us...

Some of you seem to be trying to make a case for anyone who would want them off the shelves though lol..
