I mean...why wouldn't you just use shadow mantle? At least that is going to actually do something.
EVA on a WHM on > 119 content is . . . . . . . . . . .
Other slots, I guess have at it? But back is a pretty poor choice imo.

Ragnarok.Martel said: » As for testing, so you know what a huge pain in the *** cursna testing is? When testing low removal rates, you tend to die. And there aren't many decent mobs to test on. Can have a BLU cast mortal ray on you in brenner/ballista, but it's got a huge recast and massive MP cost. The casting BLU pretty much needs support in order to spam, and that means more people involved in the testing. Or multiple BLUs. And having to test in PVP breaks your testing up into short chunks, so you can't just automate it and leave it going for good sample sizes. Hey All
Had a noobish question: Currently using Taxamchi and Genbu's shield with Cure Pot on it. Would aurastorm with chatoyant beat this? if so can someone break down how the cure pot adds up to be better? I looked through the guide but couldnt find this explained properly. If you are in the know how please add the elemental obi to that list also Thanks! If you are in the know how please add the elemental obi to that list also Thanks! Assuming (1) you have capped potency normally and (2) you have a capped Cure Potency Genbu Shield Tamaxchi + Genbu Shield = 27% Potency Chatoyant Staff = 10% Potency and a multiplicative 20% bonus for Iridescence Tamaxhi + Genbu = 1.5 potency multiplier Staff = ( 1.5 - 0.27 + 0.10 ) * 1.2 = 1.596 potency multiplier Ideally though you should be aiming to fill the cure potency deficit in other slots for maximum benefit. Weather effect is a multiplier on top of other values, thus leading to some pretty high numbers when planning properly. BG Wiki link here for Cure potency formula. Random double post - does anyone know the maximum number of effects Sacrifice can steal from an ally? BGWiki states 7 (.... that's actually my edit, holy crap >>; ) but I jacked 11 the other day.
For my own curiosity, I'm just wondering if anyone's seen some crazy number like 15+ or something. I've seen at least 12. When a person has Impact or some other all-stats-down move, it can be particularly huge.

Some alternatives.
Plenitas Virga+Tzacap grip = 150 HP, less MP than the Club shield combo though. Egoist's tathlum is +45 HP. Aenotherus mantle +1 +120 HP, but -50 MP. Bloodbead gorget is 60 HP. Dualism collar +1 is +60 HP/MP. Theophany Duckbills+3 are HP+74/MP+76 Gold moogle belt if you have it. I have about 2400 HP in escha in my Devotion set. At that HP G.M. belt would give +72 HP Asura.Krystela said: » I will update the thread soonish, I promess ;_; Sorry work is kinda eating me alive. For Gearswap users, can you explain how use this set ? easy to use this set during the JA activation, but hard to be full HP in this set !! You'd have to code something to lock in the set while you cure up the missing HP. Probably start the lock on cure midcast so you don't cast slow.
Personally, I'd make it so that trying to use the JA triggers a self targeted cure with the HP+ locked in, then gives you a st to choose the ja target and activate it. Happy coding. Thank you Martel Unfortunately, i don't know how code that.. if someone can share something like this, i would be happy ! Or you can just use cure potency gear. Skirmish head with cure potency augment works well because you'll want to swap out the head for the devotion piece anyways. Not 100% that Nares legs works with those JAs, but I've been using that and it usually caps my hp with a self cure5 from max hp. Alternatively, you can use Divine Seal with cure4, since no one uses that anyways, and it has the same recast as devotion.
Using this set also works well to get the "cure 500 hp" objective in omen done quickly, though it does drain mp a bit. I don't understand what you mean, you need use a midcast cure with HPmax or when cure lands, you will be not with high HP ! Then you need to have an aftercast with HPmax too or your idle set will cancel your maxhp set, after this, using Devotion with the Devotion head. I don't understand how you can do this without locking piece like Martel explains.
Thank you for your help I should probably explain further then.
I use a gearswap command to prepare for devotion. The command triggers a variable that bypasses the aftercast with a simple if-statement, so that's taken care of. Something along the lines of: midcast: if variable is true and spell == cure5 then equip max hp set else equip cure set end aftercast: if variable is true then turn variable off else equip aftercast set end Do something like bind "gs c maxhpset" to a key, then put as one of your gearswap commands: if command == "maxhpset" then turn variable on input //cure5 <me> Doing all of that allows you to press one key to both equip your max hp set and cap out your hp, then you can devotion whoever you want immediately. I 3-box, so I set things up where I have to think as little as possible. And you don't need that much cure potency gear to cap your hp. Using devotion as an example, there is no hp+ piece you can use that will match the bonus to devotion from the corresponding af piece. Hence, you can use the piece that gives the most cure potency instead, then swap in the devotion head piece when you use the JA. Skirmish head can give +18 cure potency alone, which makes it an ideal piece for this strategy. Nares legs also gives 9 cure potency, along with 4% hp (though again, I never got around to testing it so I'm not 100% sure +% gear works with devotion), so with those two pieces combined, that's enough to cap out your hp.
