If they really cared they'd have accepted the scission of Jerusalem as its own entity. Israel cares about soil, not anything else.

So Chaos, what is the currency of this country "known" as "Palestine?" what is it's GDP, any other facts about it? oh wait, that's right, it doesn't exist.

It's not a place, on this planet in this reality anyway.

TL;DR no amount of signatures from westerners will stop a war that is rooted on religion from many moons ago.

That's the point, most of us are attributing equal faults to both sides. The problem arises when these Israel whiteknights jump in treating it like a hero nation which is not, and that's why most of the discussion is about Israel.

And what about those who simply bash Palestine? Are you biased too in attributing a bias? Just saying when you accuse a party of x you should include the others too if they are of the same behaviour.

I've been addressing both sides, but the large majority of videos, misleading maps, and poorly-written articles are decidedly anti-Israel.

I won't be posting here anymore on this topic. The reason is the level of ignorance, apathy and disregard for human life communicated by some members offends and disgusts me. I am further offended by the complete blindness and inability of some to see the truth. When faced with it, they respond with sarcastic remarks, mockery and "come-backs".
But then again, I wasn't expecting much to start with.

Why did I post at all?
Just like you I have no immediate interest in seeing the Palestinian/Israeli situation resolved. Its not going to effect my income. I live a very comfortable life, what might be referred to in the US as a "1 Percent'er". I thank God for blessing me.

I do however, on and off, play FFXI. So we share that much as common ground.

I believe if everyone on this planet tried to communicate the truth about Palestine within their social circles, the situation would improve. Furthermore, and most importantly, I posted here because I see an oppressed and brutally occupied people, and know that my creator will ask me what I did or didn't do about it.

As powerless as I feel to aid the Palestinians in their cause, I couldn't use that as an excuse to do nothing.

So I've done what I can, and tried to raise awareness about the truth. I've tried to present examples of the atrocities perpetrated against these noblest of human beings, who have resisted a modern army supplied with the world's deadliest weapons and technology, an army that shows them no mercy, and a world that has turned their back on them. A people who have for decades stood proud and fought back, despite overwhelming odds.

Countless of them are dead, and those of them that are alive and survive carry with them memories of their lost kin.

How many mothers have seen their children torn away from them by death, and then suffered the defamation of their memory.

How many of them have been referred to by some of you here, as terrorists.

And yet, these people carry on.. carry on fighting.. carry on resisting...Just as you carry on refusing to see the truth, closing your eyes, and sticking to the reality that was programmed for you.

If just one person came away from this thread with at least a bit of doubt about the situation, that causes them to at the very least re-examine what they think they know, I will be happy.

But I think that is perhaps too much to ask. Such is our sorry state.

People are dying. The greater majority of them are women, children and innocent non-combatant men. They are people. If the media has dehumanized and vilified them to the extent that you can feel no empathy for them, you yourself are beyond help and no use to anyone around you. Your heart is dead, your brain is blind and deaf. You are not human.

I have done what I can for the Palestinians. I have asked you all to re-examine the situation on your own. To research the subject and to start caring. To stop being apathetic and dismissive of human life.

I have informed you.

EDIT: A parting gift, for those that wish to understand Islam, this man speaks for me. If you are interested, or curious you might want to listen to his lectures.

And if you still think Geneva's 4th protocol is still irrelevant, then you can also read this:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_humanitarian_law

I could cite dozen of international laws and protocols, the fact remains innocents and humanitarian workers should never be a target.
The really sad part of this is you having to cite conventions and international law to convince some people that indiscriminately attacking innocents is not ok.

But yeah, morals are relative indeed.

The "Noblest of people" do not enslave, victimize, and dehumanize others for 1400 years, living off of the back of their prosperity, treating only those that convert to Islam or Muslim teachings as humans, and beheading, torturing, raping, pillaging, etc. those who do not conform to their beliefs.

Nor do the Noblest of People hide among their citizenry, or force children into slave labor at gunpoint, instead of doing the work themselves.

The Noblest of Peoples also do not call for the complete eradication of an entire race of people (regardless of sides) as the only solution to peace.

The Noblest of People do not claim a territory as their homeland, which was conquered by the slaughter of another, and forced conversion of it's people.

The Noblest of People, do not use a double standard, and accept their part in the mockery of those who refuse to, or can not accept your views, while belittling them in the process.

The Noblest of People, do not sit idly by as a "1 percenter", claiming to be for a people, and against another, then admits he has no interest in seeing either side claiming victory, because it does nothing to aid his bottom line.

The Noble do not express a feeling of powerless to aid the people he champions, but actively engages by sending any and all support he can.

At most, good sir, as well written as your post is, you are little more than an entitles rich kid sitting aloft a throne of gold, looking down amongst the peasants, seeing them suffer, and pretending to care.

The lesson here is that Hamas and Irael are ***, but Hamas knows how to PR way better.

Not my point, the entire place was Israel, they gave them that section to self govern, it's called Gaza or the Gaza strip, not Palestine. There's still "Palestinian" territory (claimed anyway) in Israel itself, we don't call it Palestine either.

It's not a matter of recognition but that it really doesn't exist.
