Ive mentioned this alot in previous threads/forums

-When people expected the mages to sneak/invis the pt
-and when obviously it was your fault and your enhancing magic skill was deemed gimped when sneak or invis wouldnt stay on the person long enough.
-the optimal dunes pt had 2 whms in it and you'd fight to the death to find one and call other groups selfish for taking all the whms.
-a rdm and brd didnt normally pt together..you had one or the other.
-rdm relic hat NMs were omfghard
-"[party][bibiki bay][do you need it?]" "I dont have that expansion 8("
- and there was always that atleast one person or more in your pt who didnt have sky access (like me lool)

When you were exping in GC and some *** trained all the mobs to the zone and didn't depop so every had to run out for half an hour only to come back in finding someone else was doing it all over again.

but seriously tho.. i remember back when people knew how to make SC and there was a blm in every pt to MB the SC >.> the good old days... lol (damn you ToAU!)

I started just after xbox release as my roommate started playing and I thought it was cool so I got it for PC. So I don't have any cool stories from the pre-MPK patch days or such nonsence.

I never used to camp LL or VE back then because the competition was unfair and too intense for me. Lots of botters, they were high gil items. People'd hold the PH for hours or all night long (especially if you could do the PS2 trick in valkurm dunes under the ocean). My old social ls leader used to hand out gil to ls members like every week and when I asked how he said he camped LL alot and sold the boots....other people would tell me he'd just buy gil lol.

I used to only be able to play 2-3hours a day because I shared a computer with my 4 siblings. I remember counting when Id lvl up in days..like..if I could get 10k exp a day (thats what you'd strive for but most of the time was highly unlikely) and I needed 30k to lvl up then it'd take me 3 days to lvl up! 6hours over 3 days to get 30k...yes! old FF11 was certainly fun! /sarcasm



I hope that was sarcasm! I remember it being the everloving annoying. I remember some blms had some of the most obnoxious Freeze macros that were apparently timed..you'd WS when the blm said so so that he'd get freeze off a couple seconds after the SC was completed..and then the blm would scream "NONONO YOU WENT TO EARLY YOU SCREWED IT UP, FOLLOW THE MACRO" and his macro was probably wrong anyway and he'd be all like "oops I went too early" and Id be like "omg just mb blizzard already"

well i had blm to 75 b4 ToAU came out so i was used to MBing on SC in the old days... but then after ToAU blm stopped gettin pts lol :(

P.s. and apparently DD's forgot how to SC after ToAU >.> lol

yes i do remember.. my first ever dunes pt invite think i was lv10 blm and had never been to the dunes.. tried getting there myself and a goblin aggroed me along the way and i died ; ; and the pl didn't even come raise me they just booted me from pt >.> jerks lol

gimped subs, because ppl didn't want to pt on lowbie jobs pre-emp band.

riding a chocobo for the first time, from jeuno back to your home nation and knowing you won't die again otw back lol

Ahh yes, first time to Jeuno was great, some level 50 paladin took a group and myself through Pashhow and I remember being scared to death of the Malbaro not knowing what they were.

when lower jeuno was the center of commerce and social gathering place(a la Aht Urgan Whitegate).

when chocobos costed several thousand gil from crags or lower jeuno, and you'd have to run to port or upper jueno looking for the best chocobo price (or just foot it b/c you were cheap/poor).

for that matter...remember when people actually rode chocobos for transportation?

when soloing a job to 10,15 or 20 took days, because no xp rings, no fov, no level sync, and ep mobs granted 12xp

when leveling a job to 75 meant something, because you had to actually play the job instead of level sync in qufim the entire time.
