It was my understanding that there would be no math.

I elect political figures so I don't have to do math !

Yeah, but elected officials have their own versions of math. For example, in the Oval Office, 50 x 1 = 57.

There are 57 US territories, which I assume is the 57 states gaff you're talking about. It's a funny sound bite, I guess, but it's not the mistake people seem to think it is.

You are still being completely dishonest when you say that 97% of all climate studies say that global warming is man made.

Sorry if I used the wrong %, but you know what, it still makes your argument weaker.

So, just by your numbers alone, ~33% of all climate studies say that global warming in man made.

Or are you supposed to add them up to get 130%?

You cannot say that 97% of all climate studies say that global warming is man made, which is what you are alluding to....

So, if I say it is real and a problem, the rest of the world can go on with business as usual?

I didn't realize I had that type of power. I promise not to abuse it....much.

Never did I say 97% of climate studies or 97% of scientists, etc. I'm also not trying to say that you would take 97% of the 66% it's not part of and multiply that with the 33% it is a part of and some random % out of nowhere, etc. Are you even reading your responses? The line of thought you're on makes literally no sense.

I expect more from a leader, though. What does that say about his decision making skills? Have you seen his golf clothes?

We're in agreement on Obama's qualities as a leader, dude. I just don't spend all my time rationalizing my dislike with non-sequitur assumptions about his secret motives.

Edit: The big difference for me between Obama and the 2016 candidates is that Obama has already been elected, twice. So, unless he does something seriously illegal and there is evidence of it, he's in there. We have the ability to not elect the 2016 candidates, so I tend to focus on the things I have control over.

No need to make an argument out of it, that was entirely snark.

At least your response was exactly what I expected.

If he keeps at it, someday he'll even be half as predictable as you!

Aim for the stars, King.

I'm not, I just figured it was appropriate to give some insight into why those things don't upset me the way they do others. But, why is the statistics guy so quiet when a decidedly right wing poster is butchering statistics?

Honestly, I lost track of what point it was that either of you guys were trying to make in the first place and I don't care to research it myself at the moment.

Is she the clerk who stopped issuing marriage licences all together, not just same-sex licenses?

I heard something about that, not sure. The best part is when the couple snaps and asks her on camera "what's the longest you've been with someone?"

I understand the need to protest what one believes is not right, but not at the expense of others.

If she cannot do her job in a public office (hell, in a private office either), then she should not be there period.

Yeah. We can argue all day about what rights private businesses should have in regards to denying services based on personal beliefs, but if you work for the friggin' government just shut up and do your job according to the law.
