Do they sell King Cobra in pounder six-packs?
The St. Ides challenge was to down the six pounders asap and live. Basically. I mean, that's not exactly how we thought of it in college, but in hindsight that's what it was.
Glad I only did it once, honestly.
It had a very stereotypically Irish response, mostly. Laughing with each other > fighting with each other > laughing with each other > passing out on the nearest thing that wasn't on fire.

A smiling woman holding beer on the label that is a sign of quality !
I have a October fest beer bottle that looks similar to that. It's actually the one that's been on sale for the past few weeks. Only 149 dinara (~$1.37) for 2 liters. Normal price for most 2 liters are around 200 dinara (~$1.84).

I spend more on beer than I should but what other legal substance can I use to escape reality !
Part of it is social though. Cause I would be a hermit without beer. I'd never see anyone.

I think they are two more states where recreational use is legal too.

If I start smoking pot that will give me less time to drink though !

Idk, I could down PBR just to piss off some hippies, but Guinness or Coors light... To be fair I'm not a fan of dark beers.
I enjoy stouts. I know Guinness has, in the past few years, developed a bit of an anti-following of snobby people who *** either that "it's not as good as in Ireland" (duh. really?) or "it's weak and not nearly as good as other stouts".
It's hipsterdom decrying what is essentially the most popular / widely distributed stout. There's better, but it's not *bad*. Certainly it's the only stout you'll find in most bars.
Founder's Nitro Oatmeal Stout is my favorite stout hands down, but it's draft only and good luck finding it outside the niche places. But then again most Founder's brews are excellent.
Baseline "going to a random bar" beers are Sierra Nevada, Blue Moon and Sam Adams. Most stock at least one.

I'd be more interested in pot brownies. Seems more enjoyable.
By Ramyrez 2015-07-02 11:41:24
Guinness has become pretty standard around here on tap and I appreciate that greatly.
Blue Moon and Labatt Blue are my standard fallbacks, as most places have one or the other on tap. Sam Adams is a constantly-revolving seasonal carousel, so it's a crap shoot.

I could go for some gummi beers like when Homer visited the duff brewery.

For all the hate Whole Foods gets, they too also stock a huge selection of craft beer here. They've even got a tasting room. Where you get *free beer* if you act stupid and ask for samples.
Bartender-employee doesn't care. Bartender employee gets to drink on the clock. Win/win for me, you and capitalism.

I'm by all means no beer hipster, but I just dislike Guinness cause it's super sour. Too much for me.

It's one thing to not like it. Chances are you're not going to like any stouts, then. Or not many, at least.
I'm talking about the people who look down their nose at Guinness as "inferior and undrinkable" compared to other stouts.
It's the same with food. Obviously an authentic Mexican meal made by an old abuela is going to be world's better than Taco Bell or even Mad Mex or something. That doesn't mean the others aren't perfectly tasty in their own way.

Alot of women who I've found dislike beer are at home with hard ciders.
It's much harder to go off the cliff into drunkenness off them, you get more to actually drink than a cocktail, they maintain the fruity flavors sought in cocktails and they're increasing in popularity.

The most dangerous drinks -- not kidding, either -- ignoring things that are outright poison, are things where you can't taste the alcohol. I've seen way, way too many people get dangerously drunk because they can't tell how much they're drinking by taste. Hard Cider'd be the same category. "It doesn't taste like beer/a mixed drink/shots/whatever", so they drink a bunch of it without thinking.

The Viking in me wants to like mead more.
The family history of sugar problems says it tastes like a diabetic coma. (It is entirely too sweet.)

I brought up mead because if you like mead, you'll like hard cider. Especially the sweeter ciders.
