In written form:

MIAMI — When Jeb Bush finally took the stage after 40 minutes of warm-up speakers and musical acts — a prolonged windup that still pales in comparison to the 18 months of planning and plotting that led to Monday — what he said was no surprise, even if he sought to portray it that way.

“I have decided,” Bush said. “I am a candidate for president of the United States.”

His 30-minute announcement speech, a detailed and selective overview of his record that drew heavily on professional accomplishments and lighter on the personal, revealed how Bush plans to present himself to a conservative primary electorate that thinks he’s too soft and a country that’s tired of political dynasties trading the White House back and forth.

Here are five takeaways from Bush’s campaign launch:

If you read the Constitution he is in there near the bottom.

If the choice is between Hillary and Bush I'll write in Lordrgim.

Meanwhile at the white house:

http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/prince-stevie-performed-private-white-house-party-weekend/story?id=31773296

President Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama and their guests were treated to a concert by Prince and Stevie Wonder, according to tweets from attendees of a private soiree at the White House on Saturday night.

The White House confirmed the president and first lady hosted a private party for friends and family that night, but declined to comment on the musical entertainment. White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said the president and first lady personally paid for the party, which was not disclosed on the president's public schedule.

“The president and the first lady reserve the right to hold private parties at the White House, and they did it on their own dime,” Earnest told reporters today.

Several attendees, including Reverend Al Sharpton and Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, tweeted about the event.

Obama had entertainment at the White House????

What does he think this is? A Chicago NIGHTCLUB?

This man knows no shame. No low that he won't sink to in defiling the American way.

Read an article about a school math teacher who makes too much money to qualify for assistance but doesn't make enough to live comfortably. She often goes hungry throughout the day. Eats peanutbutter sandwiches, shops for clothes at walgreens and her child goes hungry throughout the day too since they barely make ends meet.
Then as I continue reading...

Quote:
We have health insurance, sort of. In my district, insuring the two of us would cost $800 a month for health insurance, so I use the ACA health care exchange for my daughter. It still costs me $311 a month for her insurance with my subsidy, which is more than my car payment and nearly half my rent. Needless to say, going to the doctor is a luxury. I had an ear infection for three months, and my daughter often doesn't tell me when she is in a lot of pain either, knowing that the co-pays will mean less money for food for ourselves or her cats and our dogs. An accident that required stitches left us $1,500 in debt after the insurance was paid, and I continue to chip away at that bill $50 at a time.

then I wonder to myself...why do they have pets if they can barely live and make rent.

Having pets is one of those human universals that transcends budgetary restraints. It's like asking why poor people have children.

A dog or cat shelling out unconditional love might be what gets you through the miserable set of circumstances that is your current existence.

Subway and cheap don't go together.
Buying cold cuts does suck though because it doesn't last in a fridge more than 2-3 days before going bad and buying it piecemeal is costly.

6-7/lb for sliced turkey here.
5-6 for cheese.

in our local delicatessen.

What, do you shop at Joe's Bargain Bin Recycled Cold Cut Outlet?

Most cold cuts are so packed with salt that they'll keep for like two weeks. Ate week-old turkey yesterday myself. It was delicious and I've yet to get the trots...

Sounds about right here too. $8-9/lb for the good stuff at the local supermarket, though I can go down the street to the Amish market and get turkey/ham for $5-6/lb.

And raw milk. Though that would probably make me sick.

Depends on what type of cold cuts you buy.

The local deli in a supermarket slices off your run of the mill wheel of Boar's Head ham or peppered turkey. In the fridge after a few days that turkey starts to taste awful, it's best after 1-2 days tops. The cheese will last much longer naturally. Weeks.

Then you have the vaccuum sealed ham/turkey that come individually wrapped. It lasts much longer but also costs more. It's also harder to find for me since apparently everyone around here prefers bologna.

If I'm doing cold cuts, I just buy 1/4lb at a time to avoid waste.
