Seeing as how George Carlin is dead, I assume you mean you won't be voting at all?

Seeing as how George Carlin is dead, I assume you mean you won't be voting at all? Hmm, I see your point with the phrasing. I will honor George by applying the beloved philospher's voting methodology in 2016. fonewear said: » Don't vote but *** about the government makes sense to me ! fonewear said: » Don't vote but *** about the government makes sense to me ! Some people rigidly define them by birth years (edit: I knew it was someone around here who posted years before, and it was probably Flavin then, too). I'm not a fan of doing so.
Strictly speaking I think anyone born in the 80s is a "millenial", but I've long considered myself more of a Gen-X'er. I just identify more with those 4-6 years older than I am in most ways than I do with people even 1-2 years younger. At least of those I grew up around. Offline

I consider myself a 90's person cause I identify with that time period the most. Late 90's to early 2000's.

I generally consider millenials to be kids who can't actually remember being kids in the 80s. My brother-in-law was born in 87, but he doesn't remember ***from the 80s. Meanwhile, I rocked out to Born in the U.S.A.! Offline

I think millenials take a lot of undeserved heat. I mean, they get a lot of ***they deserve, too, but they really don't deserve nearly as much as they get. Old generations like to pretend they wouldn't take advantage of technology and the like the same way, had it been available to them. *** baby boomers need to remember that they're the *** who were buying $2000 VCRs in the 80s... MTV used to be actually quite entertaining that seems like such a long time ago.

And old people are varying levels of burnout too embarrassed and defeated by the failings in their lives to do anything but stick to what they know. *adjusts fedora* All they know is to evoke nostalgia and complain about their inability to operate a computer. See? I too can generalize a group! For my next trick I'll make baby boomers dissapear. fonewear said: » MTV used to be actually quite entertaining that seems like such a long time ago. Oh I agree that older generations definitely had their moments of grandiose stupidity. The 2k VCR is a great example, especially when 2k was worth much more than it is today. Millennial are pretty exceptionally screwed though. Their elders have borrowed so much money on their back and somehow managed to convince them they won't have any trouble paying it back.
