No no no, I mean why didn't he write the lady a note saying something like 'hey, listen moron, go treat that baby'.
That answer is actually within the scriptures, everything we need to be thoroughly equipped for all good works is written in the Bible.

No no that's not what I'm saying. I'm not asking why he didn't write a note on how to be a good person. I'm asking why he didn't write a note to this specific lady, in this specific instance, telling her to treat the baby. I'm pretty sure he knows English and can work a pencil.

What I'm trying to say is he did write a personal memo to her and all of us, and that memo is the Scriptures. It's not His fault that so many do not read and ask him for the wisdom and understanding of His word. All it takes is to ask. He wants us to know Him.

Here are a few verses that relate to this circumstance. I believe that if this woman was familiar with these scriptures she wouldn't have turned this baby away...

Mark 10:13-16King James Version (KJV)

13 And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those that brought them.

14 But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.

15 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.

16 And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them.
---------------------------------------
Psalm 72:4King James Version (KJV)

4 He shall judge the poor of the people, he shall save the children of the needy, and shall break in pieces the oppressor.

--------------------------------------------
Lamentations 3:32-33King James Version (KJV)

32 But though he cause grief, yet will he have compassion according to the multitude of his mercies.

33 For he doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the children of men.

---------------------------------------
Matthew 10:42King James Version (KJV)

42 And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.

----------------------------------------
Matthew 18:10King James Version (KJV)

10 Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven

--------------------------------------
Matthew 18:2-6King James Version (KJV)

2 And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them,

3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

4 Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

5 And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me.

6 But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

----------------------------------------
Luke 9:46-48King James Version (KJV)

46 Then there arose a reasoning among them, which of them should be greatest.

47 And Jesus, perceiving the thought of their heart, took a child, and set him by him,

48 And said unto them, Whosoever shall receive this child in my name receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me receiveth him that sent me: for he that is least among you all, the same shall be great.

Well I read through those.

Maybe we have a different idea of what a personal note is, but those just sound like general guidelines. There was no mention of the doctor, the lesbian parents, the baby nor the place and year.

Can you tell me what you think a personal note is?

Quote:
Jeb Bush on Friday dismissed Democratic accusations that he used a personal email address as governor of Florida to avoid public scrutiny, rejecting attempts to tie him to a controversy involving Democrat Hillary Clinton.

"I'm not surprised that the Clinton operatives would suggest that. That's kind of standard operating procedure," said Bush, who visited New Hampshire for the first time in 15 years as part of his exploration of a run for the Republican presidential nomination in 2016.

Democrats have attempted to divert the focus on Clinton's use of a personal email account to conduct work as U.S. secretary of state by saying that Bush used the same practice in Florida, where he was governor from 1999 to 2007.

Both Bush and Clinton are potential 2016 presidential contenders.

Clinton revealed this week that she deleted 30,000 personal emails but had turned over 55,000 work emails taken from her private server to the State Department for review and eventual release.

Bush has released a few hundred thousand emails from his time as governor, and his aides say the rest are accessible by the state of Florida through freedom of information requests. He did not release emails he deemed private.

Taking questions from reporters after a public roundtable at Integra Biosciences AG, a medical research equipment firm, Bush described himself as "totally transparent" and said he is pictured with a Blackberry smartphone in his official portrait.

"We complied with the law and we have now made my emails, long before Mrs. Clinton’s issues came up, we made them public for you to see," he said. "So it’s totally different."

At the roundtable, Bush also sharply criticized President Barack Obama's nuclear-arms negotiations with Iran, saying he feared it could lead to a bad deal that legitimizes the Iranian government.

He dodged a reporter's question over whether he would have signed a controversial letter that 47 senators sent to the Tehran government warning that any deal with Obama may not last, but did not criticize them for doing so.

"Anyone But Bibi." It's the rallying cry of opponents battling Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Tuesday's elections, but also seems to aptly sum up feelings in both the US and Europe.

After nine years of dealing with Netanyahu, the wily Israeli politician appears to have outstayed his welcome on both sides of the Atlantic, with leaders exasperated by the repeated failure under his watch of efforts to reach an Israeli-Palestinian peace deal.

Relations between Israel and its traditionally staunch US ally are at an all-time low, and Netanyahu has had a notoriously frosty relationship with President Barack Obama.

Already damaged after Netanyahu abruptly pulled out of a US-led peace bid last April, ties were left in tatters when the Israeli premier took the unprecedented step of addressing Congress earlier this month to attack current nuclear negotiations with Iran.

While the White House said it was staying out of the elections, it has made its anger at Netanyahu abundantly clear, with top administration officials snubbing him during his Washington visit.

In past months there have also been a series of sharp and expletive-laden anonymous exchanges from officials on both sides in the US and Israeli media, revealing in no uncertain terms everyone's true feelings.

"The notion that we don't meet with Israeli prime ministers this close to elections is just wrong," said Middle East expert Aaron David Miller, pointing to White House talks between then Israeli leader Shimon Peres and president Bill Clinton in 1996 just weeks before May polls.

"We meet with Israeli prime ministers whom we like," insisted Miller, also highlighting that US Vice President Joe Biden and Secretary of State John Kerry met Netanyahu's main challenger Labor leader Isaac Herzog, head of the center-left Zionist Union coalition last month in Munich.

"They have sent any number of signals making it unmistakably clear that Benjamin Netanyahu is screwing up the US-Israeli relationship," Miller, a former advisor to six secretaries of state and vice president at the Wilson Center, told AFP.

- Europe boycott -

In Europe, the growing perception that Israel opposes Palestinian statehood despite assertions to the contrary is causing support to wane, replaced by a growing boycott and sanction movement.

Netanyahu "has been a bad deal for Israel. It is better off without him," wrote The Economist magazine in an opinion piece.

Herzog "is not charismatic. But he is level-headed and has a credible security and economic team," the respected London-based weekly added. "He wants talks with the Palestinians and to heal ties with Mr Obama. He deserves a chance to prove himself."

Final opinion polls released Friday put Netanyahu's rightwing Likud party four seats behind the Zionist Union.

Israeli politics is notoriously fractured and mercurial. But Miller predicted Netanyahu may be ousted, replaced by a centrist coalition led by Herzog.

If that happens the new Israeli government would present "a kinder, more gentler" face, which may prove less aggressive on issues such as settlements, he said, eyeing a "substantial improvement" in relations with Europe.
Has Bibi outstayed his welcome in the US and Europe?

I understand what you are asking, but we don't get to have the privilege of forcing God do what we want and how we want it.

With God it's a personal relationship. Ask Him to communicate in a clear unmistakable manner if willing. To avoid being deceived or confused by our own imagination/understanding. He provides these things, but we do not get to dictate the methods he uses.

I never said we should force the true god to do it. It just seems logical that he/she would.

You have someone who's sincerely trying to reach out to the true god, but the hatred in her heart is preventing her from hearing his voice. Wouldn't it make sense to reach out to her in some other way if the true god's voice can't be heard?

Not to be offensive, but it's kind of a jerk move to then say, 'oh, well you have too much hate inside your heart so you can't hear me. I know you're trying to reach out to me and all, but whatever, enjoy your time in hell'

Are you really ok with a god that thinks like that?

She cannot possibly correct another persons ways when her own ways are just as flawed, no one will receive a hypocrite, and the response she received proves this point.

I think this verse sums it up.

I don't think she's trying to correct another person in anything. I think we lost each other, so let's try it again.

This doctor is clearly trying to reach out to the true god. We've established that the true god's voice can not be heard by her because her heart is full of evil. Wouldn't it be reasonable for the true god to reach out to her in some other, more definitive way?

Again, not forcing the true god to do anything. It's just that, if someone's sincerely reaching out to you, and you know she can't hear you, you should at least make an attempt to reach back. Otherwise, you just come off as a jerk. On top of that, if the true god doesn't reach back in a meaningful way, it'd be an even bigger slap in the face when the true god then turns around and sentences her to burn and be tortured for all eternity.

First off, I have no idea if she really is seeking God, or her beliefs.

Second, we all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. We are all equally guilty.

Also anyone who boast about hearing God's voice sends up a red flag for me. Especially when their actions/claims regarding this voice are not backed up scripturally. Oppressing a baby is against Gods word.
Beware of false prophets. You will know the true followers by their fruits found listed in Galatians 5:22-23

"22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

23 Meekness, temperance:
against such there is no law."

Well the article says she's praying to god, so I think it's safe to assume.

It seems to me that in the last half dozen or so posts, you've intentionally avoided my question. I'm asking a very specific and simple question and you're repeatedly giving me handfuls of very pretty words.

So let's recap.

We do know she's seeking god because she's praying for an answer.

We do know her heart is filled with hate, so she's not able to hear god's words.

We do know that god did not reply with a further attempt at an answer because she believes she should not care for the baby.

Are any of these points wrong?

Do you think it's fair that god did not go any further than to speak to her mind in regards to this issue when he clearly knows she did not hear him? It's obvious that god is capable of writing a note, or popping up on her TV, or do something that's more definitive, but he choice not to.

Do you think it's fair that, after choosing not to reach out to her, it's right for him to sentence her to be burned and torture in hell for all eternity, despite the fact that she sincerely tried to reach out to him?

President Bill Clinton has received about $16 million in taxpayer dollars since he left office in 2001, according to an analysis released by Politico on Thursday.

The money came from the Former Presidents Act, which provides funding for ex-presidents to have pensions, office space, and personal staffs after they leave the White House.

This program was created after President Harry Truman experienced financial woes after leaving office. It was designed to prevent former presidents from being forced to engage in activities that might be below the dignity of the office and to help them remain engaged with the public.

In recent years, the Former Presidents Act has proved controversial because modern former presidents are generally able to earn lucrative incomes after their time in office.

In total, Clinton has received more money from the Former Presidents Act than anyone else. However, since he left office in 2009, President George W. Bush has taken money at a higher rate and is on pace to eventually pass Clinton.

Clinton's wealth and finances have come under increasing scrutiny as his wife, Hillary Clinton, is widely expected to launch a 2016 presidential bid. Last year, Hillary Clinton raised eyebrows when she referred to their family as "not truly well off" and claimed they were "dead broke" upon leaving the White House in 2001. President Clinton has reportedly made over $100 million in speaking fees since he left office and their family foundation has raised nearly $2 billion, including controversial donations from foreign governments.

Spokespeople for both of the Clintons and their foundation did not respond to a request for comment on this story.

It's ok, they are still "dirt poor" so they can relate to the general public.

They only have about $100 million left in the bank, it's hard times for them.

it was answered. She didn't sincerely reach out to him.

Quote:
1 Kings 3:11
So God said to him, "Since you have asked for this and not for long life or wealth for yourself, nor have asked for the death of your enemies but for discernment in administering justice,

Your real question is why didn't god forceably make her do good?
Why would you want such an authoritarian God/father? You want to be a slave? What would be the point of free will if not to learn from our mistakes?
We must learn from our experience in life. Some things can't be learnt through being told. Although it's all there in the bible.
It's easier to understand when you have kids I guess. When you tell then not to do something for their own good, only to have them stick their fingers up(your not telling me what to do)and do it anyway, then suffer and learn from the consequences.
True love is absolutely selfless and humility seems never to come naturally in this world. Not surprising as we are taught to be the best we can be/do it for yourself and succeed everywhere you look in today's society.
Also no one is going to hell to burn for all eternity. Why would God do that? You misreading spiritual symbolism as a physical representation.

Actually no, he didn't answer it.

Endoq muddied the waters by claiming the whole "One True God" by, despite also saying that people make up their own version of the One True God.

Anytime your argument is based on *your* particular view as to what the "One True God" is, despite the Bible also saying "Thou Shalt not Worship any other God but Me"..., it kind of paints the picture that people are seeking moral justification from what they view as the One True God for pretty much any heinous act that they wish to justify.

Secondly, the Bible, was written by Man, though the argument could be made it was Divinely inspired. The Bible, was also revised, edited, and suffered omissions by the people in power at the time of it's creations. Scriptures are added/removed at the will of the Church, when they should, if the Bible is meant to be taken as Divine Inspiration, be left as it was written - whole and complete.

Serbia's foreign minister said Friday his country's close ties with Russia are not hampering Belgrade's chairmanship over the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe which has a key monitoring role in Ukraine.

Ivica Dacic told The Associated Press in an interview that Serbia's close-knit relationship with traditional Slavic ally Russia "most certainly is not a handicap" when it comes to remaining unbiased in the Ukrainian crisis.

Dacic said "even the Ukrainian foreign minister told me ... they see it as an advantage if it is used for de-escalation" of hostilities.

Serbia took over the OSCE chairmanship in January amid some concern in the West because of Belgrade's refusal to impose Western-backed sanctions against Moscow over its role in Ukraine.

"Many have said that it will be a big challenge for us," Dacic said. "Our role is not to take sides, but to help achieve goals that the OSCE has in the conflict areas, one of which is Ukraine."

Dacic said that Serbia has learned lessons from the 1990's war in the former Yugoslavia, which could be of help in finding a solution to the Ukraine crisis. Over 100,000 people died and millions were left homeless in the bloody breakup of the Balkan federation.

"The experience that we have means that we understand the nature of the conflict and the importance of reaching a compromise in time before the war escalates beyond limits and becomes hard to stop," Dacic said.

Ukraine placed a formal request Friday with the United Nations for a peacekeeping mission to be deployed in its eastern regions, where a cease-fire between government troops and Russian-backed separatist forces is in place.

Dacic said "for now, the main course of action is to strengthen the OSCE mission on the ground. No other options are being considered at the moment."

He spoke a day after OSCE extended its monitoring mission in Ukraine from six months to one year and said it may increase the number of monitors from 500 to 1,000 if it gets access to various war zones in the east.

He said the decision "opens a new stage" for the OSCE mission in Ukraine — "the only international presence in the country, which makes it even more important."
