I don't have sexual desires... Does that make me asexual?

Possibly or you are repressing them.

Zero interest in sex. I don't understand the obsession. Do not want.

It's a means for reproduction, not the grounds of a loving relationship. Lust is not love.

Romance is also not love. Romance is attention insecure minds require to confirm their self importance in another persons life.

Effect is a noun.
Mostly, yes.

"Affect" can be a noun in psychology, though.

If you're going to get picky, effect is a verb, too. Only English geeks use it correctly as such, though.

How utterly sad for you that you take such a literal, concrete approach to something so beautiful.

I see, didn't know that.

Examples:
They are trying to effect a settlement of the dispute.
The duty of the legislature is to effect the will of the people.

Merriam-Webster said:
The verb "effect" goes beyond mere influence; it refers to actual achievement of a final result <the new administration hopes to effect a peace settlement>.

The uncommon noun "affect", which has a meaning relating to psychology, is also sometimes mistakenly used for the very common "effect". In ordinary use, the noun you will want is "effect" <waiting for the new law to take effect> <the weather had an effect on everyone's mood>.

Right?

I respect that there are asexual folks out there. I don't understand them. I think there's something fundamentally wrong with them.

But at the same time, there are people out there that think there's something fundamentally wrong with me because I believe in sex for romantic and loving connection, and not as a means of reproduction, as I'm on my way to sterility.

I don't judge anyone for their decisions, but the ACE folks blow mind mind.

Sex is scratching an itch. If you tie emotions to it, then it's just a more intimate itch scratching. Sex is a basic human need, part of being social creatures. Too many people get too hung up on sex and what it's greater meanings are.

Sex is just sex, love is love, etc. At 15, it was just an insatiable need to poke something, in my 20's it was a big part of intimate relationships, and soon it'll be a chore for the purpose of reproduction, then I'll go back to desperately wanting to poke something, lol.

My question is, why did god tell her not to treat this baby just because the baby belongs to two lesbians.

What do you mean 'she really thought it through'? She prayed to god and that's what god told her. Isn't that how praying works? Someone clear this up for me.

Whatever is telling her to be so devoid of compassion, especially to a baby, is no God that I know.

So are you saying there are multiple gods and you only know of one(or a few like-minded ones)?

Then who exactly told her not to care for the baby? Are there false, dying gods hanging around, picking up the true god's calls?

For that matter, why didn't the true god chime in? Why hasn't he chimed in yet and say something like 'lol my bad, go take care of that baby'? You'd think it'd be pretty important.

Many people seek a God in their own image, if she has hate in her heart she is not seeking the true God. I do not know what happened, I just know I have never been instructed to be compassionless.

He speaks to our hearts all the time, but we usually don't want to listen. Instead we follow our own understanding of our imaginations. If one has hate or fear, the love of God the Father is not with them.

I guess she has hate in her heart doesn't she? It's unfortunate that she'll be going to hell when she dies.

I still can't get over the fact that we're individually strong enough to block out god's voice. Why can't he try a little harder? Maybe write us a note or something, something that can't be denied.

He did write us a note, it's the Bible. He also gave us free will and made us in His image. He is not far from any of us. He is waiting for us to call on him and repent of our sinful ways. His ways are wonderful beyond comprehension.
