Many female comics tend to trend towards female-oriented humor which at times kinda loses it's appeal. It's alot like minority comics who use racial jokes or rely on very one-trick sets.

That's precisely why I think she's kinda funny, it's pretty raw. I take it back, she's not a beast, Lisa Lampinelli is a beast. Amy Schumer is somewhere in between.

He hits a few Asian jokes, but they mostly focus on his experiences as an Asian-Irish guy from Pittsburgh.

Banking solely on racial jokes is very hit/miss. It really comes down to delivery if you're going to tread on familiar ground.
Delivery is equally as important as the jokes themselves. If the comic looks fired up and having a good time, the audience most likely will too.

I'm telling you, early-2000s Comedy Central is where it was at.
Comedy Central Presents was amazing. Not all the comics were good, obviously, but it was such a great thing. It's gone downhill a lot.
They're on Amazon Prime, largely for free, if you've got a sub for it.

On the other hand, Mike & Molly is funny as hell. But that female version of the hangover (forgot the name) I couldn't wait for it to be over.
As a side note: Bad Teacher was so bad, I couldn't watch the whole thing.

Pretty much all sitcoms are bad and have been since...well, Friends, honestly, destroyed the sitcom, imo. Just my opinion though.
Try watching a sitcom with the laugh track removed and see how much less funny everything seems.

That's how I felt about Anchorman 2. I just...it got to the point where it stopped being funny. They took all the jokes one step too far and it just became a mockery of itself.
Which is sort of exestential, when you think about it.

It's what a bunch of people who aren't actually geeks think geek humor is.
There's a major difference.

People find funny the humour that appeals to their interests, their situations or that matches the same type of humour that person uses too. That's why people laugh about different things.
I like Big Bang Theory for the heavy use of sarcasm for example.
