How do I know if it's consensual? Are you really going to assert that it isn't? I don't think it's unreasonable to assume that some prison sex is consensual. I also don't think it's unreasonable to assume that of all those in the "consensual sex pile" there are some in there who weren't gay before they went to prison. I mean I guess you could just refuse to engage by saying something akin to "if we don't have any stats we can't have a conversation" but that makes you pretty stupid.
You can have a conversation about it for sure. Knowing that it's exchanging personal opinions is one thing but a guy who considers himself a presidential candidate speaking out about gay marriage and how being gay is a choice based on nothing more than what seems to be his own personal idea some go in straight and some come out gay with no actual proof on any level is quite frankly ludicrous.
I wouldn't say wanting to be informed on a topic before you discuss it makes anyone "pretty stupid". I'm not saying it should stop anyone from having a discussion but it definitely doesn't make anyone stupid.
