Two chemistry degrees, served in the Swedish marine corps, Fulbright scholar, went to MIT studied drama and a black belt? Dudes pedigree is top tier. I'd pick a fight with em for killing Apollo Creed the son of a *** Guy is a legend just for being in Rocky IV. THERES NO EASY WAY OUT. THERES NO SHORTCUT HOME. Offline

Rocky IV was awesome. Rocky V not so much.

I'm saddened that I actually remember every scene of every Stallone movie. My brother's forced me to watch them a million times each since I was born.
If you think your economic policies and ideas about how a country should be run are solid then it's real simple: Run a game of Europa Universalis, Civilization or Total War.
I got my 4 stars as an armchair general using peasants as fodder to soften up my opponent before hammering the *** outta them with a calvary charge. 2000 dead peasants? Ah well. Also, always execute nobles. Always. We'll see how well that small government works when Montezuma is an aggressive ***, Napoleon has once again betrayed you diplomatically and your nation is bankrupt because of poor financial decisions. Mercantilism? There's a reason that fell out of favor. Edit: How do I forget Age of Empires?! Crusader Kings is also pretty good but I never played it. Offline

And Rambo was mostly sentimental grindhouse action.

Because First Blood is based on a book about the struggles of Vietnam vets and the second two are basically glorified army recruitment. And if you don't believe, remember that the Pentagon has people who are paid well to specifically oversee the portrayal of the armed forces in entertainment. Glorified violence with the quintessential American as the good guy is a pretty powerful recruitment tool for the armed forces among a bunch of high-testosterone, low-ambition high school guys. I'm trying to figure out why a dozen eggs costs triple what it did last month are chickens crossing borders instead of just roads ?

I needed more chicken wings. We had to go for the egg chickens. Sorry. You'll have to go find an emu and fight it for an egg. Don't worry, you might lose an eye but those eggs are *** huge. You'll feed a family of four for like a day and a half. Ramyrez said: » Lakshmi.Sparthosx said: » First Blood is a classic. Then 2 and 3 turned that ***into a cartoon. Typically if you want to borrow military equipment or film on vessels the Pentagon is going to want to be shown in a positive light. Enter Michael Bay masturbating on an American flag as an eagle watches on. I typically look at movies like Rambo 2-3 and Chuck Norris' outings as some mindless fun when you're tired of being bogged down in nuances. 'Murica good, Russians bad. I mean ***, they TORTURED Rambo. We'd never torture anybody! Offline

Lakshmi.Flavin said: » Dodge? You were just wrong I thought that was made clear. How do you know that prison sex is either consensual or rape? Personally I've based my comments on the rape thing off of don't drop the soap or television. Do you have some kind of report on how many prisoners engage in consensual or non sonsensual sex in prison or how many identified as gay before they went in and straight now? None of what you have said addresses the actual issue which is that you seem to agree with this guy that says prison turns people gay so therefore gay is a choice. Hell, for arugment's sake, even if that were true... Why would it matter? If its a choice and you don't want to be gay then you don't partake right? I don't understand why people are so afraid of gay people or why they want to restrict them. How do I know if it's consensual? Are you really going to assert that it isn't? I don't think it's unreasonable to assume that some prison sex is consensual. I also don't think it's unreasonable to assume that of all those in the "consensual sex pile" there are some in there who weren't gay before they went to prison. I mean I guess you could just refuse to engage by saying something akin to "if we don't have any stats we can't have a conversation" but that makes you pretty stupid. Enter Michael Bay masturbating on an American flag as an eagle watches on. Fun anecdote: They wouldn't let Stanley Kubrick see the inside of a bomber for the airplane scenes in Dr. Strangelove over concerns of safety, so he and his designers just made the set in such a way that it seemed reasonable to them for the size of the plane. ...after the movie was filmed and the Pentagon saw it, they got really, really mad with him because they wanted to know who they convinced to get into a plane, or who squeeled and told them how it was set up, because it was close to spot-on. |
