Well, there is nothing in the Constitution that protects bullets.
what do you think they fired in the revolution?

Musket balls. Not that question has anything to do with the fact that banning bullets is completely legal.

Questionably.

For one of the first times when it comes to Mr. Obama, I'd approve of this being Constitutionally challenged.

But he's a lawyer he knows the law !

No. Obama IS THE LAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW.

If you guys take up Muskets against Obama, I volunteer to be the dude playing a song as we march into battle. I've always dreamed of being killed mid-song by some dude who thought it was cool to bayonet the music man.

Hm, now should I do drums or a bugle.

KAZOO!

I always wanted to kill someone playing a kazoo...
with a bayonet

I read the Constitution once. I don't remember reading about using the commerce clause as an excuse to force people to buy Healthcare.

But that's none of my business.jpg

There are already quite a few bans on owning certain types of guns and ammunition.

Seriously. How often do I agree with Nausi?

Pretty sure it sort of circumvents the intent of the Constitution if weapons aren't prohibited, but the means by which they're made useful is.

Ammo wasn't sold when the Constitution was written, thats why there is nothing in there regarding the distribution of it.

5.56 is the caliber, the ATF is working on banning the armor piercing variant, again, totally legal. The NRA is going to have to present something other than hurt feelings if they are going to contest it.

Banning the sale of the bullets has the effect of disarming the gun's owner. If it happens it will be overturned by the Courts just like the President's most recent lawlessness on immigration. The executive branch outright refusing to enforce laws passed by the legislative branch and signed into law by the executive branch has the effect of creating a law.

We still have over a year and a half of this bozo. I can't imagine the ***he is going to try in his last year. Vic has already pre-agreed with it all no matter what it is.

Aman is delusional as usual. Banning one specific bullet just means they will have to use a different one, the horror!

I still love the logic that a guy who is in the frame of mind to shoot at a cop is also going to be concerned with the legality of his weapon & ammunition.

It looks to me like the entire caliber is being banned. Which would have the effect of banning the weapon that uses the caliber.

And it's really stupid to do it that way, for one, just on principle.

For two, especially since that type of firearm isn't very prevelant in gun violence, it's not going help a god damn thing in practice.

It's partisan bandstanding to drum up support among the party-line fools.

It probably won't be too long before 3D printers can work with metals, and then people will be printing their own ammunition anyway.
