Do people honestly have that much trouble with these? I don't even habitually turn on lights unless I need them, so it's not as though I flip the switch in a room and then wander off elsewhere for half an hour.

Maybe I am more sensitive to light. I frequently work in the back of a truck and refuse to turn on the spotlights because it means I'm blinded every time I turn around.
