Wow, are we really doing a "why canada is teh bestest" conversation here?
Yes, we needed some levity and to break away from American politics for a day.
For once I'm in agreement with you. American politics have become boring and predictable.

Rob Ford though, is the 2nd coming of Jesus. True story.

Why I wouldn't be surprised if he's seen hanging out at Charlie Sheen's place.
There's a rumor going around that Rob Ford is the reason why Charlie went sober.

I like hockey but I don't think most Americans are as fanatical about it as Canada.

I am. :p

The Winnipeg Jets were actually my team.

So you don't follow the Winnipeg Thrashers Jets?

And they weren't really "disbanded". They became the Coyotes! ^^

Player contracts were nulled on the sale of the team, and more than half the roster were traded/quit when they became the Coyotes, representing Phoenix, Arizona.

only about 4-5 players remained, while the ones that still played hockey, chose to do so at the local level by becoming coaches and assistants.

Idk, but when someone is able to not only manage their own finances, but also have a well balanced budget for a whole city all while partying like an animal and smoking crack, well... they definitely possess some kind of god like fiscal powers.

As for being Fanatical about hockey - most Canadians really aren't fanatical about it. It's just another excuse to get drunk in public and not suffer the consequences.

I think we've found something Canadians actually do the best!

Rationalizing their decisions to make themselves feel better!

Yeah, he would often show up to work drunk or high, or cracked out. His family did damage control, and his brother, a city councilman, often did a lot of Rob's work.

Considering the Mayor only has to approve a budget, while the council members are the ones to vote on it, and keep the books.

If you are suggesting Obama should start smoking crack I approve of this.

Then he could quit go to rehab and set a good example to all the crackheads out there !

Smoking dope doesn't make you a bad person. It just makes you really lazy about doing any of the good stuff you intended to do.

The wife-beating (or murdering people) thing...well...yeah. That's a problem.

But there are some good guys in the NFL, too. It's just easier to find the bad ones in the NFL.

The NHL isn't free from its *** either, though they're fewer in number.

I would have preferred a "Doctor Who" Meme where he says he's a professor of everything.

Or of Professor Bunsen Honeydew.

Better question: How many people know the Canadian flag is only 50 years old and they still used the British flag before that? Or that they still swear allegiance to the Queen of England!?
