Terrorist attack in hotel resort in Egypt

saw this while making dinner/dishes, last news says they also had a ISIS flag so pretty easy to say it's that.

I hope it does. A Sanders vs. Trump debate? The entertainment value alone.... You could put that crap on pay-per-view.

Ugh. Just what we've always needed.

Look, in the end we could probably survive his lies, his ***, his flat-out idiotic ideas...

...but he's so. ***. tacky.

And not even in the funny Weird Al song way.

He's the badly-decorated 90s Chinese restaurant of human beings full with brass fixtures on everything and neon lamps and that lady-in-an-oil-cage statue thing. You know the one I mean...

These things:

A really good, if long, annalysis of Ted Cruz's immigration stance:

The Real Ted Cruz

I studied nearly every word the Texas senator uttered during the immigration showdown. He may be the most spectacular liar ever to run for president.

Slate

Openers:
Quote:
Ted Cruz is the only true conservative running for president. That’s the message of his campaign: He’s the only senator who stood and fought against amnesty, Obamacare, and Planned Parenthood. His finest hour was the defeat of immigration reform three years ago. Democrats wanted to give illegal immigrants a path to citizenship. Cruz said no. He took on the establishment and won.

It’s a good story, and the immigration fight tells us a lot about Cruz. But the fight didn’t happen the way he says it did. Cruz didn’t marshal the opposition or even take a firm stand. He’s a lawyer, not a leader. He chose his words exquisitely so that down the road—say, in a future campaign for president—he could position himself on either side of the immigration debate. And he delivered, with angelic piety, speeches that he now claims were lies.

TLDR: To say that Cruz lies like a rug or a politician is a great disservice to the man. He lies like a lawyer.

Police is in trouble here for hiding sexual harassment during a festival in 2014 and 2015 where incidents similar to the ones in Köln happened. Young girls were groped and 2 were raped and they dared to call it uneventful.

Våldtäkt = rape
Sexuellt ofredande = harassment (not sure what the legal term would be), can be flashing or groping etc

Most of these are girls under the age of 15

We also had a similar thing happen in Kalmar during New Years. Apparently they didn't want to give the right wing party (Sweden Democrats) more ammo since (just like Köln) a lot of them were young immigrant guys. These are just the reported ones.

They said on the news here that it's been found that IS leaders actually sent the messages to abuse western women to show their supremacy and that they can do what they want.

The real problem though...is that really a lot of men answered this call..

This list reads like a White House visitor's log during the Clinton Administration.

Chanti, what did we talk about when reading extreme left articles?

"Articles like the Slate have less facts in them than articles from the Onion does"

Actually this one is quite full of real, provable facts.

Admittedly The headline on Slate's main page is frothing at the mouth clickbait.

There it is titled "The most spectacular liar ever to run for president."

BTW the author quite admires Cruz's way with words and his careful planing.

There are little facts with that article.

Events that happened, sure. The author's analysis of the events, no.

But I wouldn't expect you to think for yourself, it's pretty obvious you go for the fluff, as you so eloquently put it. No wonder you post articles that are so far out of touch with reality even Stalin would be ashamed to see it.

Events that happened are facts. Speeches that were made and either transcribed or recorded are facts.

The author's analysis of the facts are opinions. I find his closing argument unassailable. Cruz said two things at different times. They are so contradictory that one must be a lie.

But he masterfully left himself wiggle room.

*sigh*

I would say I'm surprised how closed-minded Chanti is, but then again, she believes everything she hears from sources she automatically agrees with, and anything that goes against her little world is evil and false and whatnot....is typical for close-minded fools.

Rand Paul passes on Fox debate as lineup announced

Quote:
Rand Paul will boycott Thursday night's Republican primary debate in South Carolina after being relegated from the main stage, he said on Monday.

"I won't participate in anything that's not first tier because we have a first tier campaign," the Kentucky senator told CNN's Wolf Blitzer.

Paul's announcement came moments before Fox Business Network, the sponsor of Thursday's debate, announced that just seven candidates had qualified for the main stage. Those candidates are Donald Trump, Ben Carson, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, Chris Christie, Jeb Bush and John Kasich.

Both Paul and Carly Fiorina, who appeared on the main stage in last month's CNN debate, were relegated to the undercard round, along with Rick Santorum and Mike Huckabee, according to the network.

On the one hand I don't really blame him considering he seems to be meeting the criteria Fox set, but on the other hand no one is really interested in his isolationist platform.
