Asura.Saevel said: » and the planet will eventually continue doing exactly what it was doing in the first place Asura.Saevel said: » and that planet would just continue creating thousands more as though we had never existed Valefor.Sehachan said: » This "Earth suffered worse conditions" argument that is often thrown around really doesn't make much sense. It would if we were a bunch of hippies wanting to save Mother Gaia, but that's not the point. We're trying to preserve the planet not in itself, a rock will stay a rock, but for us(and if we're good enough preserve other species too, or at least those that affect us - which is many). Asura.Saevel said: » Your pissed that your golden opportunity to force a Socialist Utopian social system down everyone's throats, under the guise of "saving you from yourselves" has passed Asura.Saevel said: » It's one of those "feel good" things that make people like you feet proud and responsible for doing absolutely nothing. Asura.Saevel said: » Hell your not even American why the *** do you care. Seriously why do all you non-Americans give a flying *** on what happens inside America. I swear you spend more time trying to muck around American culture and politics then you do your own countries. Asura.Saevel said: » I swear you spend more time trying to muck around American culture and politics then you do your own countries. Nobody is paying attention to the liberals and unions for bashing companies, they finally woke up to the fact that it's better to have a paycheck than it is to protest for some poor little chipmunk who's going to be owl food in less than 3 hours anyway. /won'tsomebodythinkofthechipmunk.gif Also Seha, for somebody who accuses another for lack of reading comprehension, you obviously lack it yourself.
He said why should you care what goes on in America if you are not in America. Take care of your own ***, don't dictate how to take care of ours. Also I didn't say he lacks reading comprehension, but that he either didn't read, or the message didn't go through in which case I offered to say it differently. Thought we had a thread for climate stuff outside of here?

What America does is not. Unless you propose that America just takes over the world and forces everyone do adhere to American way of life. Which, frankly, we are not above doing. Like I said before, learn a little reading comprehension before you accuse others of the same. Asura.Kingnobody said: » Like I said before, learn a little reading comprehension before you accuse others of the same. Asura.Kingnobody said: » He was talking about what American companies are pledging Stop talking ***. Asura.Kingnobody said: » The post I made is a quote from an article, nothing came out of my ideas or thoughts. Saevel wrongly accused me of talking ***about America, to which I responded it's not the case, like I'm doing with you for the third time. Saevel wrongly accused me of talking ***about America, to which I responded it's not the case, like I'm doing with you for the third time. Who said that global warming is an American only issue, besides Obama? Even then, that's not what was being talked about. What was being talked about is the prospect of American companies investing into research into reducing emissions, which Savael responded stating the obvious. Your apparent quote (which you didn't provide the source, just a brief summary) was about what American companies are doing. You arrogantly assumed that Savael accused you of butting into a global issue by stating that this is an American problem, which he did not do so, he was pointing out that pact meant nothing but to pay lipservice to those who continue to parade global warming as their religion. In other words, that quote meant nothing substantive, pledging is not the same as actually doing, and what you quoted was just a publicity stunt which apparently you fell for. Valefor.Sehachan said: » You either didn't read what I said or the message didn't get through. Cause THAT ISN'T THE POINT You're missing the point. As humans who live in the modern world, we are going to affect the planet. There is no existence in which we could not impact our environment. So the idea that we could somehow live in a way that didn't is folly. Once you accept that fact, any further question of "don't you want to do X in order to have less of an impact on the planet?" Has to be met with the common questions of: A) What is this actually going to accomplish? And B) How much is this going to cost? Given the fact that we're never going to collectively live in some carbon neutral fashion, and likely aren't going to come anywhere close to it, how much is a reduction of a ten thousandth of a degree over 100 year really worth? Next ask how much is it worth when the people stating the claim have yet to accurately predict anything in the last 40 years? And the typical response from the zealots is to shame any sense of doubt in the religion. Valefor.Sehachan said: » Saevel wrongly accused me of talking ***about America, to which I responded it's not the case, like I'm doing with you for the third time. Umm when did I ever say that? Seriously... talk about projection. I said why do you care about American culture and American politics as your not even American. I could completely understand American citizens passionately arguing the merits, or lack thereof, of a particular issue, but it seems you non-Americans spend more time arguing about American stuff then things that involve your own nation. Nice reading comprehension there. Caitsith.Shiroi said: » Whatever you guys understood from Seha's posts, she isn't talking ***about america, if anything she is praising the efforts towards renewable energy. I pledge to give Scragg $100k to run this website, it doesn't mean I will do it. Asura.Kingnobody said: » You quoted an American act, and then have the gall to say that this is a worldwide issue even though the subject is clearly what American companies are doing? As for "talking ***" if you tell me I'm mucking America that's what I meant, if mine was an incorrect expression I apologize, but I was clearly referencing that post. And for the millionth time, I DIDN'T SAY ANYTHING ABOUT THE PACT. Asura.Kingnobody said: » She is under the impression that pledges mean something. Did you read what you linked? I'm tired of telling you that's just an article I found and reposted in case someone cared. This is borderline harassment now cause you've gone on an entire page making ***up about me and I'm tired of it.

Last time somebody said harassment they ended up getting a 3 day ban for harassment, you sure you want to go that route? It didn't state an opinion. Last time I tell you.
Asura.Kingnobody said: » Do you believe in what you post? It is a simple question, and please explain why this is bait.
If this is bait, then every question ever asked is considered bait for getting people banned. Hell, if asking a question is considered baiting, then your post is baiting also. Also, implied threats is against the rules. |
