Last I saw three officers, others injured, not related to P.P. save by location.
Possibility of hostages now.

Source Quote: Police in Colorado Springs cannot confirm reports that a gunman who shot and wounded several people near a Planned Parenthood clinic in the city on Friday was "contained," or rule out the possibility that hostages were taken, a police spokesman said. "We do not know if he is contained," Colorado Springs Police Department spokeswoman Lieutenant Catherine Buckley told reporters. Asked whether any hostages were taken, Buckley said: "There is that possibility." Her comments were broadcast on Fox News. What's wrong Chanti?
Quote: Police Lt. Catherine Buckley said authorities also did not know where the gunman was located or whether the shooter had taken any hostages. "We can't confirm where the shooter is at this point," she said. Asked if the shooter had taken hostages, Buckley told reporters: "There is that possibility. There are a lot of possibilities with this scenario." Authorities received a call of shots being fired at the Planned Parenthood clinic before noon. Responding officers exchanged gunfire with the shooter, Buckley said, adding that it was not known if the shooting had any connection to Planned Parenthood. So nothing is really known or confirmed yet. Asura.Kingnobody said: » What's wrong Chanti? We now need a 'random shooting' thread.
I'm with you Chanti, it's looking pretty bleak. Asura.Kingnobody said: » "We do not know if he is contained," Colorado Springs Police Department spokeswoman Lieutenant Catherine Buckley told reporters. You don't *** know? You've got him contained or you don't. If you don't have him contained, sure you might not know the exact hostage situation, but if you don't know that you have him contained, you know that you *** don't have him contained. Most coherent report I have yet found:
http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2015/11/27/reports-active-shooter-barricaded-planned-parenthood-office-colo/76455300/ USA Today 4 cops injured, no civilian count at all. "USA today" is the mark of excellence in journalism?
Yep, doomed. Wow this situation is going into the 3rd hour with the guy still shooting.
4 police officers injured. 5 civilians injured or killed (unknown to what degree) 3 hostages rescued. All the details so far. This site has a live feed and a live twitter feed with different journalist/police accounts, updated as soon as new tweets come in
Watching the official police briefing going on now.
It sounds like the person still has hostages and police have not had any voice contact with him. No word on demands at this time. Apparently this started at the PP building. That's all they will confirm. A witness on the local news, who was told by police to stay in her car, saw a vehicle drive up and the driver got out and appeared to have been shot multiple times. Apparently the suspect brought some items and has them set up inside the PP building and outside of it. No information on what these devices are. hey wb! I need to send you another 30$ one of these days...

KOAA5 Reuters headline has been updated to 'Active shooter' at Colorado abortion clinic. Suspect taken into custody, not shot. Unconfirmed, scanner traffic only.
BNO News is saying 2 people died
Now it's 1 police officer and 2 civilians dead.
So Japan is gonna start hunting whales again, ignoring international law
Pretty shitty of them and I hope they are stopped Bismarck.Dracondria said: » So Japan is gonna start hunting whales again, ignoring international law Pretty shitty of them and I hope they are stopped So, you're saying we get more Whale Wars. I'm now torn. YouTube Video Placeholder
Bismarck.Dracondria said: » So Japan is gonna start hunting whales again, ignoring international law Pretty shitty of them and I hope they are stopped It's really different. Grindadráp is an event in Far Oer islands where they kill whales for no reason at all. They force them into a bay and then the entire population gather with maces to make a pulp out of them and they don't even use the dead whales in any way. They do it for giggles, it's disgusting. I've seen videos of children jumping on dead whales and hitting them while people around them cheered and clapped.
That's obviously forbidden by EU laws, but the danish government doesn't do crap about it. They actually shoot activists if they see them. Japan at least makes money off the whales. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whaling_in_the_Faroe_Islands
They do actually eat the whale meat and blubber though I doubt they eat all that they kill Extremely unnecessary to hunt whales these days. |
