is FFXIAH is uprading server or something?
nothing like AH history or shouts are updated on asura! Some stuff broke yesterday, not sure what all broke. Scragg will be able to look into it tomorrow, he's busy during the weekends; he fist-fights grizzly bears... Ok, I dunno what he does but that sounds good enough.
It seems that whoever hosts their images is also down (or something). Just getting a whole bunch of broken links where there should be icons.
YOU BROKE IT!
Yeah, I dunno what happened, all I'm seeing is Times New Roman and blue links. :/ It looks ok to me, however shouts aren't updating, and also it says 7267 users online and something tells me that's not entirely accurate...
Scragg is working on it right now.
omg, it looks...not so plain anymore xD
I consolidated ffxiah to a single server last night. Everything went pretty smooth except I forgot to move the static assets over. They are being transferred now and things should start to look normal.
I didn't see any problems initially because the assets are mostly cached by the browser. Some of you might still be loading the old site due to dns propagation delay. If the shouts aren't working it's likely you are connected to the old site due to cached dns. stream.ffxiah.com should resolve to 63.143.33.99 All other ffxiah.com names should resolve to 63.143.33.98 If AH sales and stock doesn't seem to be updating, I would guess you are still viewing the old site. Please verify the IP. I see the users online is showing incorrectly, I can't figure out why yet. If you are noticing issues give me a PM but please verify the IP first. the traffic is finally that low? that reduce overhead cost, since IIRC you rent the servers, no?
Edit: resolve good for me, but I also use google's dns and comcast's as backup. Jetackuu said: » the traffic is finally that low? that reduce overhead cost, since IIRC you rent the servers, no? Edit: resolve good for me, but I also use google's dns and comcast's as backup. the traffic doesn't necessarily dictate how many servers you need since not all servers or services are created equal. At least we got a break from the google adds for a few hours. :p Odin.Jassik said: » Jetackuu said: » the traffic is finally that low? that reduce overhead cost, since IIRC you rent the servers, no? They are rented. TBH, I could of got away with this one several years ago. Servers prices and specs have got better over the years since I've been running the site. The DB server is: Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E3-1230 V2 @ 3.30GHz 32GB RAM 4x128GB SSD RAID-10 The load average was between 2-3% and adding the web server bumped it to 5%. The web server had other roles such as processing AH data and running the cache server. Memory usage is around 50%. Disk usage around 33% currently. I do run another cheap dedicated server to be a DB slave, run elasticsearch (memory hog), and deliver ads. It does data processing like achievements and create daily backups. I have a cheap VPS in Japan to do data collection. Yes, traffic does suck relative to pre-ffxiv days. I'd say, that's slightly better than my PC build :P
/comfort Trying to change character avatars sends you to a process page that is blank when you hit submit. Doesn't do anything after that or load the avatar.
The guild pattern page also times out and doesn't load. Scragg said: » Yes, traffic does suck relative to pre-ffxiv days. Phoenix.Demonjustin

Not sure if it's part of this same problem but... I can't log in anymore using Chrome. I'm using Internet Explorer right now to post this but I generally use Chrome and after logging out yesterday I haven't been able to log in again.

Question: trying to update my avatar yet I get an Application Error when I hit the Upload Button. Checked the file size, under 500kb, is there something up with the uploader atm?
Phoenix.Demonjustin said: » That didn't fix it. : / I haven't been able to login either, except on my phone. I've tried on Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Chrome from 3 different PC's. I've reset the IP and have done all other recommendations from other posts here. Hopefully this can be looked into.
Something seems to have fixed itself. I haven't been able to get to the login screen all morning, and was only able to sign on just a few minutes ago.
Still can't change avatars. :<

My login screen has returned and i'm able to log back in now. I'm still having an issue where none of my auction house history is showing up at all, my settings are all set to not hide anything. Not sure if i need to update something somehow or this will just go away on fix itself? I did notice that many others are still displaying correctly.
