Mississippi passes "Right to Discriminate" bill...
Didn't you say the same crap on page 1 nausi, or was that another thread you got wooshed on? I can't keep up with your spam, its a good thing you aren't a business owner. Businesses don't want these laws, so why are they being passed, other than to make neocons look stupid? They don't need any help in that area.

Thrice in this thread alone he's regurgitated the same tired arguments about bestiality, lack of control etc etc. Peddling assumptions as established facts. That is just sad... Can you at least quote what you think is a racist comment, or are you just here to make wild accusations? Pleebo you are welcome to keep posting, k?

Uh yeah, making a comment that a Civil Rights bill enacted to protect peoples right to vote from discrimination based on race, religion, and national origin as the cause of bringing down society is in no way racist... you're dishonest, racist, and a xenophobe. Do you even know what racism is? Racism is: 1.a belief or doctrine that inherent differences among the various human races determine cultural or individual achievement, usually involving the idea that one's own race is superior and has the right to rule others. 2.a policy, system of government, etc., based upon or fostering such a doctrine; discrimination. 3.hatred or intolerance of another race or other races. To lament (as king did) that there are negative consequences involved with the passage of any particular piece of legislation, or that the intentions of such legislation might become perverted or misused, does not conform to any particular definition above. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA @ your deflection skills due to the fact you're uncomfortable with the label of a racist yet make overtly racist comments. Ok so if you didnt mean Civil Rights Act 1957? Why did you even mention the year while coupling the phrase Civil Rights Act? If we play you're game every subsequent Civil Rights Act did the same thing to protect groups from institutionalized racism. So yeah you definitely made a racist comment since those acts all addressed institutionalized racism. You can't even play it off with intellectual dishonesty. Asura.Kingnobody said: » Pleebo, I know it is hard for you to understand this, but if you aren't going to contribute to the argument, you should probably, you know, not post. They say he's 6'4" and full of muscles. Not totally sure if he speak-a our language, but he's kind enough to dole out Vegemite sandwiches along with a smile! These Aussies sound quite hospitable. I'd have second thoughts about it. Ragnarok.Nausi said: » Lakshmi.Zerowone said: » Ragnarok.Nausi said: » Do you even know what racism is? Oh, not from us Whities vs. the rest of the world, but from the rest of the world vs. the rest of the world and so on. Or are you going to say that racism has improved since 1957? All the Civil Rights Act has done is given minorities a larger voice to complain. Everyone still gets ignored at the end, it just that minorities are now starting to become annoying. At the end of the day, racism will forever exist because we are all humans. Lakshmi.Zerowone said: » Ragnarok.Nausi said: » You're still not comprehending what I'm saying. At the best you're putting words in his mouth. At worst you're dishonest and slanderous. To be a racist statement it would look more like. "Things would be alot better if there were rules in place to keep black people from voting". Now, you can make whatever argument you want, but King didn't say anything like that. He didn't even say "I wish the civil rights act was repealed." But even if he did, that still wouldn't have been racist. What you're doing is inferring the racism from what you believe to be his intentions, If people can be labeled racist from your inference, then well I think you're a racist too. Institutionalized Racism has steadily declined since the Civil Rights Act of 1957 and the Brown v Board ruling that propelled it along with the subsequent acts. Now we even have a black president as a result of those Civil Right Acts that you have attributed to the down fall of society. Not really since his words were along the lines of say: "Things have gotten a lot worse since they stopped discriminating against black people's right to vote". ITT: Zero still thinks that I'm talking about one particular Act, and not the issues that arose since then.

What problems do people have again with the free exercise of religious beliefs? businesses aren't entitled to freedom of religion, other than that, only when practicing your religion effects other people negatively. There is NOTHING in this bill about denying service to LGBT. By that I mean there is no language indicating such. Aren't you discriminating against businesses by assuming everyone will use this as a club to beat up on gays? That's mighty bigoted of you! I don't believe I said anything about corporate personhood or LGBT. A company is entitled to the rights upon which they can be persecuted. That doesn't mean that the Bill of Rights extends universally to businesses or that any portion of it applies depending on public or private. lern2rede |
