So now an act of making a person look better equates to liking said person? Idiotic neocon logic is out early today. Talk more about your Bush fetish and the slaves please. I know that intelligence is a foreign concept for you Vic. I would suggest you to try learning every once in a while instead of attempting to throw insults, but failing to do so.
Also, it would help you a little bit more if you were just a tad more polite with said insults. That way, it doesn't seem like insults at all, but more like suggestions.
Entertain more please, thats all you are good for. Your posts have become a running joke, just look at how everyone is getting their laughs from you.

Ugh...I don't have to work on a nasally accent that disappears when singing, do I? I feel like there would be some bad joo joo coming either Kara's or my way if we took up Natalie Wood's mantel. Something...Something...Everyone knows the only kind of wood that doesn't float is Natalie.
Tasteless, Nik! Truly tasteless!

First off, I never stated whether I liked or disliked the president. You don't have to, it is pretty obvious that you do like him.
In order to backpedal though I would have to go back on my original statement. But you did. You like him, then try to say you don't to save face now. That is Backpedaling 101.
You can dislike something/someone and something can happen that makes them look a bit better to you but you can still dislike them. See, you are still trying to backpedal even now. You can't dislike something/someone and still say that they look better because XXX doesn't like them.
Now, if you can just be honest with yourself, we can go back to whatever the topic was in the first place, which has been thoroughly derailed now anyway.

Edit: The funniest part about this is you're using an assumption Quote: First off, I never stated whether I liked or disliked the president. You don't have to, it is pretty obvious that you do like him. to say something I didn't say then telling me I'm backpedaling by saying something else that I didn't say...

Show me where I said I disliked him. Don't have to. Nice try though.
Might have been better if you said "liked" because your defense would have been "Even though I like him, I never said I liked him."

you said he was ok which means you love him and want to have his babies and you're a bush hating traitor! I never inferred that.
I inferred that there is no neutrality in one's mind when it comes to this president. You either like him or not, there is no "either way" because we are bombarded with rhetoric (either for or against) about this president on a daily basis.
Now, if Obama was an unknown, you could honestly say "I neither like nor dislike." Because how can you have an opinion of somebody you don't know?
So, you have to place your opinion on one of 2 answers: Like or Dislike. Neither means you have to strongly like (love) or dislike (hate), there are still degrees of like or dislike.
I know you are being sarcastic, but please don't infer my intentions, as obvious as they are.

So, is this knife fight still going down?
Nik, I feel as though we might be the only ones who appreciate the 'West Side Story' gag. I'm afraid we might have to switch to 'Grease'. Devastating, I know. Last resort, we'll have to go raid Mc Donald's for old Pokemon figurines and build a diorama of a WSS scene of our choosing that best conveys our sentiments about the goofy direction this thread has taken.

Ever since I first left America for three years and realized how poorly people from other countries seemed to look at the good ol' USA, and how bad I think the political system has gotten, I've added the US presidency to my bucket list.
Every day I eat, sleep, lift, and study in an effort to some day put myself if a financial situation where I can acquire my name and secure my way to the presidency in a route quite different than a typical politician, though not unfamiliar to the game altogether. Name recognition is the route I'm after.
When I'm president I've thought of a few things I'd like to see changed, and open them up for debate, and maybe let some of you plebes alter the ideals of a future US president. In no particular order:
Esperanto Second Language classes starting in elementary:
Esperanto is a created language that's kinda simple to learn in comparison to others, and can be vaguely understood by some people who don't even speak it as it uses a lot of familiar roots and affixes to create words, has set pronunciations for all letters, and grammar rules that lack the exceptions seen in English. It's estimated by some that a native speaker of romantic languages would take roughly 150 hours to become proficient enough to communicate easily with the language, which is incredibly fast if you know anything about learning languages. It's culture neutral, and would help foster cultural exchanges and ease communications between Americans and Europeans and Central/South Americans. It can also help with the absorption of other languages, so instead of being an end in itself, it could be a means to help one become multilingual, something that's rare for most Americans.
National legalization and taxation of Pot:
Hopefully this one will change by the time I'm president and it'll be one less battle for me to fight. Legalization means less money spent fighting it and more money from taxing it. Decriminalization right now would save Americans as lot of money as is. I do not believe legalizing it will cause an epidemic because anyone who wants to try it will try it anyway because you can easily get it on most city street corners as it is. I know I don't want to smoke pot now and I won't smoke it when it's legal. It's already been legalized in Colorado and look how terrible that's gone, right? They're on track to generate 100mil in the first year of taxation, imagine even half of that from all 50 states.
Legalization of prostitution:
Arguably the most difficult of things to change with American society being so prudish. The idea here is the same as the legalization of pot. We license prostitutes and create legal areas for them to work in. I came to this idea after seeing how poorly average streetwalkers are treated and how they're hunted down by police. It can be decriminalized and taxed to generate money, and keep money from leaving the country on foreign "sexpeditions." The idea behind this is people who want to use prostitutes will use them, and this is a way to protect both the prostitute and the buyer with mandatory monthly screenings required for license, safe houses to protect from violence against either party, and less anxiety for all involved. Texas alone spends almost 8million dollars a year housing prostitutes in prison, and the industry itself pulls in up to an estimated 30 billion a year. That's one hell of a national source of income if taxed and licensed properly. It also help individuals too. People may not like it but some have to turn to prostitution to get by, and legalizing it can help consenting adults of legal age get the money needed to have a reasonable life. It goes along with one of my firm beliefs that what these people do with their bodies is none of your f*cking business.
Super PAC Busting and Corporations are Not people:
I will bust the sh*t out of any source of large scale, unlimited "donations" to politicians. Nothing will be anonymous on this issue and I will make damn sure something like this doesn't happen again in my lifetime. We've allowed these people to make it perfectly legal to buy off politicians, and that defeats the entire purpose of a representative democracy.
National Legalization of Gay Marriage:
Again, who the f*ck are you to tell someone who can and can't get married? It's as simple as that, live and let live. This is another issue I shouldn't have to worry about by the time I'm president, I hope.
National Weight Training Requirements for all Teenagers:
Requiring all teenagers to have classes in weight training is a great way to improve the shape of America from early on. It saves money in medical costs, is much safer than almost all sports Americans commonly engage in at high school, and does wonders for self-esteem. All beginners can see rapid gains in strength, and with that can be urged to continue. Striking at the age of puberty, the training can have the highest effect on young males with their almost freakish rate of growth.
Closing Tax Loopholes:
Cracking down on this is extremely important. People have come to see taxes as evil instead of a necessary part of government. With the way the current government works, I'm not surprised people distrust and hate taxes when they don't see as much benefit from them as they should and the wealthy pay a disproportionate amount. Closing tax haven and last in first out accounting loopholes, among many others, are things that must be stopped, it costs the American government over $100 billion a year.
Military Changes:
America doesn't need as large a standing army as it has. We could easily cut the number in half over time and not have to worry thanks to technological advances. Also, America will never again invade and occupy another country. It's costly, stupid, and makes people hate you even more.
Legalizing the Sale of Organs:
This one I can't really believe isn't a legal thing yet. Relying on the altruism of others is a fool's game. We have a shortage of organs needed and desperate people will turn to underground shady alternatives. Properly screening donors for an extended period of time removes the risk of "faulty" organs, gives donors time to think over the procedure and its consequences, and protects both parties. It also offers a final safety valve on your financial issues if the need becomes great enough. Once again, it offers people a choice of what to do with their lives that is no one else's business.
Those are just some of the things that are on my agenda. There are other things, but mostly just paradigm shifts instead of laws. Nothing will change if we don't change the views of the people in general. I want to help people see the government as something working for them, which is how it's supposed to be. I want to cut down on the litigious nature of the American people, by encouraging people to be less gigantic pussies and by simplifying all laws in general. I want to encourage the new generations to honor the spirit of a law more than the letter. I want to encourage tolerance of all people regardless of skin color, sexual orientation, nationality, religion (or lack thereof), or profession. I want to encourage the American people to stop looking for the easy way and extol the value of actual hard work. I want to make people realize that we are not all equals, but we all deserve basic and equal rights and opportunities, that while we may not all make ourselves into the next Bill Gates, Russell Wilson, or Tom Hanks we all have the same chance to make something of ourselves by working hard. I want to kill the new almighty god above all: The American Dollar.
I want to encourage these things by leading by example and making use of the indomitable human will we can all possess.
So come at me f*ckers! What would you do if president? What do you agree or disagree with?
Edit: some typos.
