YouTube Video Placeholder Early Spring; Teddy Nemesis was a pain... Beat them though using Hasten World/Meteor set up with one Time Mage doing Hastega/Meteor/Meteor since the use Overclocking which gives them 150% speed and out speeds max speed Ninjas.
Suggestions for the Swordmaster? Does he counter magic too?
Do you have nin at that point of the game?
Not yet, that quest comes after I think.
ah; there goes my idea then. Was just gonna have you Kairai on the tank and (s)he'd eat all the counters.
Don't remember what I did specifically, but I don't remember having much trouble with the Swordmaster Valefor.Sehachan said: » Suggestions for the Swordmaster? Does he counter magic too? So what's everyone's preferred combination of jobs/abilities? Obviously if you're a completionist you're going to be swapping jobs a lot, but when all is said and done and you've mastered every job, where did you/do you plan to stick your people for the duration of the game? I'll spoiler mine just for people who haven't gotten some of these jobs yet.

Edit: I believe Victoria can also be poisoned, so if you've got a Black Mage or some other means of poisoning her, you can try to get it to land and let her kick her own *** too. Double edit: Salve-Maker also has the Inoculate ability, which lets you confer status resistance to one character for 6 turns. The downside to this is that you have to waste 4 turns to get everyone, whereas Wide-Area/Antidote will only take up two. She didn't spam poison that much for me either, so it was pretty easy to keep up There are some jobs I just can't bring myself to level :| like Time mage and Merchant..I'll do it eventually, but I really don't like them <.< don't like Summoner either, but I do that for the owls at least.
Tiz was my tank for the most part. Had him duel shield Knight for a while then made him a Ranger since tanks are useless when you unlock NIN.
Agnes was my WHM until I found out how broken Salve-Maker was then she stayed Salve for the whole rest of the game. Edea and Ringabel were Rangers/Ninjitsu. At chapter 8 I maxed out everyone's jobs and levels since Ranger was/is the best DD for the game if you know how to exploit weaknesses. Valefor.Sehachan said: » Suggestions for the Swordmaster? Merchant was rather interesting low levels, good for that money grind and burst damage (before other jobs became avail) Merchant and Red Mage are the only two vocations that I have not bothered to level with any character yet. Merchant because it uses money for pretty much every skill, and Red Mage because it's as underwhelming as it is/was in XI.
Redmage has some pretty nice traits tho. really worth it.
Turn Tables for blinking Revenge for Tanks/SwordMaster I've got the traits through Abilink, and that's good enough for me. <_<;
People need to update their summon friends more!
Merchant is a very unique job just sorta gimmicky and not worth using unfortunately but selling items to mobs and healing them for money is great money making techniques.
Redmage has great abilities like the ones said earlier but it's not worth using either. I think out of all the jobs I only really use like 4? Time Mage is worth leveling solely for Free Lunch/Meteor spams. Time mage doesn't even have a pretty outfit, it's really hard to bring myself to level it! :|

Better get going on that Norende restoration then!
New Nemesis Today~
Ba'al ii; Goldie This is the goldfish version of Ba'al the Turtle Dove. Love the way it looks. Has 2 major attacks Bouncing Ball which deals 9999 dmg to everyone including himself and Magic Festival which confuses everyone sometimes even himself. Also spawns little fishies that do nothing but raise their magic attack and regen and attack. My Strat for Auto-Win He always attacks after each round so had to change up the High Jump Strat a bit but works like a charm~ 4x Ninja/Acrobatics 3x Ninja with Speed+20% Spear Lore and Confuse Immunity 1x Ninja with Speed+10% Spear Lore and Hasten World Everyone Braves and Utsusemi>High Jump and hit auto. Enjoy the music while watching this derpy fish hit himself with a bouncy ball. Love this theme by the way. I try to steer clear of any strat involving multiple NINs and blink-tanking stuff to death. I'm aware that it's a legitimate strategy, but it always feels so cheap to me. =/
ALL HAIL THE NINJACROBATICS.
