I want to care about DD trusts, I really do... It is a bit sad that the only reason I collect them is because I can. Maximillian looks like to be one of the better ones though.

I've also seen Kayeel-Payeel use Starburst and he will use Gate of Tartarus when his MP runs low.

Just noticed that Maximilian has TH1. Was doing some solo Voidwatch and it was saying my TH increased alignment by 1%, and I was RUN/WHM with no TH gear, no TH kupower, and other trusts were Koru-Moru, Leonoyne, and Kayeel-Payeel.
Pieuje is an Afflatus: Misery WHM. From what I've been told, he's mechanically weaker than Apururu, though some clearly prefer him (her? Idk) as shown by his ranking on Bahamut. I personally think his HP are too low to be risking his arse mid-melee...
Apururu is a better WHM than I am, so I'll keep her. The one thing she lacks is Solace, other than going derpy if someone casts Refresh on her. That will occasionally cause her to not use Nott, instead casting Cure and sitting at like 20mp.
Can confirm Devotion use on trust; she Devotions my Amchuchu often enough to make her life easier. Go Taru trust team!

An odd question: do the geo-Trusts (Sakura, Moogle, Star Sybil, Kuyin, Brygid) affect pets? Specifically, avatars. I'm wondering if it's worth it to stand close enough so that my avatar could gain their benefits.

It is easy to test with any pet and Sakura.

Quick test on my SMN with Carby and Brygid shows no benefit.

You can test with Mumor/Uka/Lilisette and Dancer's Roll.

Side note: I haven't tested Robel-Akbel in combat yet, but I am disappointed that he and Lehko don't react to each other when summoned. :( Nor does he react to Star Sibyl, or vice versa. (He reacts to Karaha-Baruha and Kayeel-Payeel, and they react to him.)
Actually tried Robel-Akbel out in Morimar WKR, he's a pretty awesome nuker. Saw him MB Thundaja for nearly 10k damage, and he was consistently MBing Waterga on Distortion and Darkness chains for 2k+ each. I also saw him use a WS called Quietus Sphere (I think? going off memory), which did like 3-4k and from the animation, looked to be AoE.
On a side note, anyone know what Invincible Shield's trust does? Just wondering because his unity is somehow in 1st place instead of Apururu on Quetz this week...

He's actually a pretty good warrior!
Here's the scoop:
Job is WAR/(possibly)MNK due to having a rather large HP pool, even for a warrior.
Uses the following abilities:
- Berserk
- Provoke
- Retalliation
- Blood Rage (will not use if warcry is up, by himself or pt member)
- Warcry (will not use if blood rage is up, by himself or pt member)
- Restraint
- Tomohawk (only uses it when -def is already applied to an enemy. I didn't know the effects stacked?)
* Seems to have Savagery meritted.
Uses the following weaponskills:
- Raging Rush
- Steel Cyclone
- Soturi's Fury (flashier version of Ukko's Fury)

You can test with Ayame/Gilgamesh/Tenzen and Tactician's roll.
Tactician's roll isn't attached to any job for bonus. Can only be boosted by Empy body and phantom roll+ rings afaik.
Could always try Dancer's roll. Call some trusts, let them take damage, use the roll and see how potent their regen is. Then replace one of the trusts with Mumor (or Uka/Lilisette) and repeat.
If trusts can trigger the job bonus, the regen with a DNC trust will be higher.

Still, even with that info, I'm wondering why Invincible Shield is so suddenly popular on my server. Maybe it's a JP thing? Of course, there's a lot of JPs in Apururu too...

Derp. You are right. I thought it was attached to SAM for a moment there. Dancer's Roll is the way to go for testing.

And I would group the last two slots together.
Some situations/jobs Joachim will be better than Ulmia, others need neither and Qultada will be better, etc.

Amuchuchu is a good magic damage tank,
Gessho is probably some of the better tanks
Balamor Trust cannot be cured... considering he is undead :p
but can still be buffed with shell/protect
