hey all. with limited playtime atm, and limited access to
+2 farming, as skirmish/delve gear is the order of the day, anyone got some advice on empy armor+2 pieces I should get made for ALL jobs, based on a utility basis, ie; iga feet +2, raider feet +2 and so on. ideally macro pieces. all would be good but don't got that many +2 'stones/coins etc.' thanks in advance

Cor hands
Brd everything
Rdm body
War legs
Those are the jobs i play most and af3+2 are still useful.

For jobs I know well, pieces in order of usefulness:

THF: feet (TH)

MNK: body (Impetus up)

WHM: LEGS! (curing), body (curing), feet (enhancing/auspice). Head (curing) and hands (regen macro, so a fairly niche use) also not bad pieces.

RNG: body (ranged TP) a must, the other 4 pieces definitely lower priority but all potentially at least still solid options depending on your needs (bow/crossbow/gun, Store TP needed, etc.). Hands add a TH tier to Bounty Shot, so are always nice if you bring RNG to stuff where you don't have a THF and want TH-affected drops.

NIN: feet (Utsusemi), head (TP)

COR: hands (Phantom Roll), feet (Quick Draw) are must haves; to a lesser extent, head/body (ranged, and body Tactician's Roll bonus) are useful

PUP: body (maneuvers), feet (Tactical Switch) - neither are vital, but both remain helpful macro pieces today

DNC: body (still best TP body with DW+10%), hands (extra TP on Reverse Flourish)

All SAM is still good. In order of importance:

Legs - Staple in TP sets
Body - Good for some TP sets
Hands - Bow WSs and Sekkanoki obviously (make sure to exclude WSs that don't have damage varying with TP)
Head - Seigan TP
Feet - Sengikori obviously, but with the zerg-fest the game is now the opportunity to put the effect to use doesn't come up often

BLU Body - Fast cast for blue magic spells
BLU Legs - Some physical spells without Efflux/all(?) physical spells with Efflux
BLU Hands - Recast for blue magic spells (I personally don't even carry this with me and just stick to Thaumas)

The best advice I can give you is to pull up BG or wiki and just go down the list job by job and choose the pieces that have (or boost) traits that cannot be attained or boosted via any other means: ninja feet, thief feet, corsair hands, white mage legs, monk body, etc.

Most empyrean armor is handily eclipsed by other pieces, so I'd focus solely on uniqueness at this stage of the game... It's a pretty tall order to ask for a list of every useful piece of af3 though, as that's bound to be open to interpretation as well as the accessibility any particular player has of getting other gear.

WHM head is more or less a must.
It's as ugly as sin but it's got a ~10% chance of Divine Veil (AoE status effect removal) proc.
So macro it in for any -na spells and Erase.

ETA: Also SMN everything.

Increased SA damage on AF3+2 hands is what he's talking about. There's almost no use for TH ATM.

Except farming crap?

Sure, you may have everything under the sun, but not everyone does.

But to help the OP out:

WAR Body (easier time to get a 5 hit, not really needed if you use an Ixtab) and Legs (still a decent TP piece if you are uncapped on haste).
WHM for all the reasons above
BLM feet for macro only
SMN all.
BRD all.
SCH for all the reasons above

The ridiculous stats on Adoulin gear (e.g. Iuitl) actually beat out Raider's Armlets +2 in most cases if you have them. So even then not much of a need anymore if going for bare bones must have gear.
