Shortcuts are also not working in Japanese client.

Are you sure? Did it ever work for you? What exactly are you typing?
Yeah it worked. before this update. /ma "Cure iii" <st> would work as a macro line in Japanese client. (Seen screenshot here)
Now it no longer does. As Japanese client does acctually uses /ma "ケアル III" <st>

I have no idea why that would be. Shortcuts's client language handling amounts to:
Code
language = 'english' -- windower.ffxi.get_info()['language']:lower()

...and then I never use the language variable.

Can someone confirm the same thing isn't a problem in the NA version?

typing /ma "ケアル" <st> in an European client does not work.
if that is what you mean. (I can swap between European and Japanese client).

Also I sent this off to Arcon, but seeing as your around.
Timers worked (im not sure if it is now broken, it doesn't seem to be) in the japanese client, but the font base that is used doesn't support japanese characters, resulting in this.

I mean whether /ma "Cure III" <st> works on an EU client.

Okay, so to formalize the problem:
/ma "Cure III" <st> in a macro is broken on the JP client but works on the EU client.

I can confirm that TParty is on the fritz and FFXIDB is not displaying any dots on the mini map (players, npcs, enemies, nothing).

Same goes for gearswap, nothing switching. The error messages I'm getting are in the refresh.lua file:

Lua runtime error: gearswap/refresh.lua:495: attempt to index field '?' (a nil value)

Also getting errors on line 234 of same file.

line 495 is from refresh_group_info() function:
v.mob.race = res.races[v.mob.race][language]

line 234 is from refresh_player() function:
player.race = res.races[player.race][language]

I'm using windower 4 (version 4.2~ I believe). NA client I'm assuming. Unsure if this will help you at all but w/e.

Boxdestroyer is broken yet again. Not sure how SE pulls this off every update.

windower//addons/boxdestroyer/boxdestroyer.lua.119: bad argument #1 to 'format' (number expected, got nil)

DressUp is broken as well, it doesn't change the race at all

Dressup has *been* broken, hasn't it?
It worked fine until last night, though I believe the gear lists have been outdated for a while.

battlemod is hozed again. Not showing any dmg at all for my bst or her pet. Worked fine before the update, but back then oddly if I swaped to cor, using same filters, I couldn't see my dmg at all on the cor job.

The issue is that LuaCore is returning the wrong race for players (probably because the player struct is off). When that is fixed, everything will work again.

The game we play is Windower, FFXI is the addon.

(I seriously enjoy writing my own .luas and .xmls before that.)

I CP on PLD, but I mess around with friends on NIN and this morning I went to change from one to the other and was like "Okay, what gear do I use again?", as people were reporting problems with gs org.

I don't know if I could exist in this game without Organizer.

Are you home yet, Byrth? Do you need anything? Chips, pizza, beer? Forget the beer. That might cloud your mind.

It's a sign of a good product that the game is basically unplayable for some once they've got used to using it.

Curse you updates!

Seriously, a huge thanks to not just Byrth, but absolutely everybody involved in keeping these plugins working so smoothly. As Tidis said, you know you're doing something right when people can't function without you.
