I often see items with no names on them on the market, they will be like HQ with no name at the bottom. How does it happen?

Was like that in FFXI too. Once you put it up for sale it loses the signature.
If the item is trade instead, it keeps the signature.

I'm not sure how the name is removed, but equipment and items most certainly do retain signatures after being sold on the market.

I've bought armor from the market and there are clearly signatures still on them.

Sometimes I see that the item help text box has been expanded to show the name, but no name appears. Anyone else noticed this?

Maybe it happens when the creator character is deleted?
