You can only have one character from each POL ID on at once. In order to have two characters on a the same time (i.e. 2-boxing) you have to buy a second copy of the game and register it to your SE account to get a second POL ID. This also requires you to pay another $12 (or whatever the monthly fee is) a month to be able maintain the second character. If you try to log in with a mule from the same POL ID as your main while your main is logged in it will boot your main.

This is the answer you seek, OP.

This is absolutely correct. That said, it's not always 1000% wise to link two chars to the same SE account. I can't think of any positives, and if for some reason you get banned, (someone hacks you, you send too much gil at once etc.) they'll ban both of your accounts, whereas if they're not linked, they'll only ban the one that gets in trouble.

Sadly the most desirable things to do by yourself had a 3 character minimum, though that might have changed since I quit.

What's that, Assault or Nyzul you mean?

I tri-box on 3 comps and both of those things were way too much trouble to be worth it in my opinion.

Best thing about multiple accounts is playing on one and having the other/s sitting in a camp semi-afk farming.

Or PL yourself with your 2nd comp. And keep your 3rd account farming.
That's what I mostly do tbh.

Skirmish, Salvage, Meebles, etc. There's lots of stuff with a three character minimum.

Do you literally mean playing on 3 separate computers? Or you have 3 instances up on one computer? If the former, I can see why you wouldn't find it beneficial.
