K Club Why You No Pwn?

Everyday uses for a kraken club? Ones I can think of, I guess ninja in abyssea was good before updates now new weapons cream it, so I'm looking at maybe just proccing?

I would think its turned into a Abysea proc weapon and or skill up tool. Its even usless in dyna as the new weapons are so ridiculously strong it be a loss if you where to use K club. Also since DC camps now are Incredibly easy, you can do large pulls on them w/o any issue.

This is precisely the reason. K-clubs are nowhere near as common as relics and empyreans so you have vastly less people feeling "cheated". It's similar to mythics in that sense.

Kclubs were a joke even when MoT came out. When some jobs could duel wield two four attack weapons.

I owned two Kclubs, but the fact seven jobs couldn't use them. Of thoseblu and geo can't use it. I did sell these for 120 and 140m back in the day.

What would you spam besides proc. Nothing. And now So clubs are out Kclub is worthless.

Goon your whm and tp spam Tojil or any Delve ob. Use it in COl reive and you doso little dmg you wont get bayld for it. But you can have the drk behnd you absorb t300 TP you feed it.

A Kclub comes nowhere to a REM. REM = a weapon skill unlock for a job. Kclub gives you no new weapon skill, no new JA, no magic spell like twilight cloak. It is outdated trash that a few people are willing to pay an overpriced amount of gil for.

Honestly, i would think a Kclub in the offhand would boost your average DoT evaluations just because of the WS frequency...Joytoy did that for me when i was RDM/DNCering some bayld with Almace :<.

well, my opinion of empyreans in reives is a little skewed...i like having the ODD for evals...but then other people burst my bubbble with "BUTLOLYOUHAVEODDWITHTHEBASEDAMAGEOFDELVEWEAPONZLOLZYUSTEWPID" ._.'

An entire page, and nobody mentioned the current, most powerful use of kraken club: RNG. Assuming you can actually hit the mob, kraken club is just as good now as it always was. The biggest issue now is the lack of skill on the club moving forward.

This. Unfortunately, KClub has now lost its luster on anything relevant. Fun for pure weapon skill ownage for any pre-SoA content now since there is no ridiculous accuracy requirement. If a WHM has accuracy issues in current SoA content, then a RNG will have equally as much issues since the skill divide is something between 104 skill to 120 skill depending on Club merits or not. [EDIT - RNGs do get +60 ACC on their passives, so the divide isn't so bad]


I am fairly certain if I could actually hit anything in Marjarmi with a KClub, I would get much more Bayld then I do now (I'd like to think my current Marjarmi average is about 6-8K a Colonization Reive if theres about 15 people there - don't quote me on that, I've never really took the time to calculate this). The increased WS frequency this weapon provides is immense. Hence why I wish the skill on weapons is a latent effect that provides full Attack + ACC buffs to both hands while its equipped on the main hand. It'd make KClub relevant all over again (Aside from the fact that it would also mean DW classes don't have to farm up TWO skill-weapons to be relevant)

And to be honest, TP spam the boss anyway since the rest of your alliance would be doing the same =p One extra WHM on Tojil isn't gonna make or break that fight for you~~

A WHM friend likes it for being able to throw out extra Mystic Boons, when he wants to melee in a party with a bunch of MP sink DD

I'm glad this post got so much interest I wasn't sure if anybody else thought the same thing... My thing is just like BB this is just as hard to get as it always was and just as expensive. I would love to see something done about this... Like a quest it's used in to get a better one or a augment for skill+ and a little more damage or
