So somethign weird just happened... I was soloing elementals in sky on blm/sch. For some reason one decides not to cast when I wake it... kinda weird but dealable. Comes right at me and as I expect it to beat the tar out of me it just runs past me lol
I never solo'd BLM/NIN, but I didn't start to solo until I was at the level for Bibiki Bay when /nin or /whm was viable.
The thread asked about the elemental DoTs, subjob for party is best and do you still use clubs soloing with /nin.
I used staves when I was high enough to solo with /nin. But now meriting on puddings you have to use /rdm or you'll die.
Elemental DoTs were a waste of mp imo when I was leveling. They leveled elemental magic anyway, so i'd rather just nuke or something.

Now the elemental DoTs in my eyes are more about the stat debuff > the -hp/tick. You see a difference when you Choke/Drown the mobs at the start.

Exactly... and burn. Though if they fights go long the dot is not bad
I shall go try that if I get more than burn pt. I'm a casual player so looking for that extra boost to dmg isn't on my list unless I'm ask to do it.
Even for the most part I've been heal on imps with no complaints or deaths which made it fun to see BLM being misused.
Oh pretty much only when mp is too lol and the extra dmg might make the diff... especially if I personally dont have enough to nuke lol. Well and random epeen on like NMs and stuff for shits and giggles.

Krizz is just social and likes to kill time here during work Tbest is about the same, except tends to be a douche to guys and affectionate toward girls.
