Well, critics are pretty easy to please here. Boobs & somewhat keen detail and neatness = 9-10 average.
It's certainly more pleasing to the eye to see general ffxi artwork than 99% of the redundant "I got this item" screenshots.
Well more specifically, as I was talking, I was referring to Agua's old screenshots, basically a rendered Mithra copypasted on a fancy background he/she got off google. One sec let me find it.
Edit: This picture was 0.025 away from a perfect 10 rating between 20 people.

It looks pretty. That's about as much as I can say about it.
20 people isn't a very wide spread considering the score.
Also, this is far from the appropriate location to expect anything beyond that.

I think since I saw some of Pusama's work when I was just starting FFXI (I know her in real life, kind of), it's sort of jaded me.
It's like when the augments were first added, like on the third day, I saw an Genie Weskit augmented with INT+6. After that, I can't be happy for anyone that gets an NQ Igqira Weskit with INT+3 on it.

Well after reading your example of having a jaded attitude after such an event, it reminded me of this.

Yeah, I knew about the whole Apple making their own products obsolete thing, but it's kind of backwards compared to what I was saying. I meant, if you've already seen the nice things, why go back and use something worse? My laptop cost me 1200 dollars, but it was worth it, and now I can't even stand to look at my actual home computer (I basically use it as a giant external hard drive, and it's even bad at storing stuff).

Pretty much this. I'm still a bit far from what I want for a computer, but my Desktop is neglected and I <3 my laptop. If/when I get a better one, the same thing'll probably happen. Rinse, repeat.
In fact, I couldn't stand my old laptop so much that I gave it away!
I don't even understand how people can use a laptop as a serious gaming machine lol.

All my gaming time is done at work, otherwise, I'd rather be sitting in my comfy chair on my desktop.
Though, I failed XIV's benchmark(didn't even break 1k), so I'm rather disappointed. Still, I'd rather be able to play the game without super prettiness than not at all.
