Das, how would you prioritize merits for a BLU that primarily DDs? Blue magic and sword skill both just a few levels short of cap.
My first thought is sword, but assimilation looks nice. I'd even say diffusion, but lacking most of the spells that are used with it.
We both have a general idea of what he should merit in the long run. It's just finding where to put 3 merits that he currently has first.

EMPs are the blue turtle shells in this. You shoot it and it fires 4~5 random blobs of electricity at whoever is in first, doing high damage and slowing them down.
First place = EMP dodging.
Any other place = Mine (bananas), Bolt (little missiles), and Shunt (red shells) dodging.
The game is fun as ***.

Blue magic is always good. It's what determines the base dmg of your spells. And is possibly the only thing used on the attack side of pdif for them. Though that hasn't been fully mathed out. It also does macc for magical spells.
Swd skill is also pretty good. Obviously helps your dps and the extra accuracy could help you switch to pizza while still maintaining capped acc on ws/spells/tp.
Physcially potency for some free spell acc is nice.
As far as tier 2... for right now say 1 diffusion, convergence, 5 assimilation and wait to see what happens.
Reason I say that for those more so then other merits is enough blu merits regardless of where you currently break down in base dmg tiers will also raise it at least 2. How many merits it takes to do that will change but yeah.
Swd merits will pretty much always be good because even if blu becomes even more of a acc hog that will just mean getting to use more offense foods.
But for T2 merits... well besides assimilation they are all based on spells. Without knowing the new spells hard to judge there importance.
But assimilation you can also cram more stats on.
1 diffusion comes in handy now and then but as of right now kinda worthless to lower it's recast timer.
Convergence is kinda different. As a primarily melee DD it's nice if theres a group and you need to make it single target the extra dmg and macc is just a bonus.
Enchainment is by far the most spell related. Since it only kicks in on CA and well the current best dmg spell outside of like SACA stuff has acc modded by tp lol
Right now if I had all merits open and free I'd probably either do diffusion first or magic skill
