Does this sound like a good deal? Used PS3, one of the older 40 gig models that was initially a package deal that came with MGS4. Includes game, and everything that came in the box. No dust, minimal scratches, fully replaced disc drive via sony thanks to older firmware putting increased stress on drives. But pretty much I'd get an older model PS3, MGS4 and everything else included in the box for $200.

Thats a lie then if its 40 gig. I got the mgs4 bundle and they only came 80gigs.

Might be mistaken then. I'll double check.
But really I could care less how big the HD is, as I intend to replace it with my own anyways.

I meant to add to that that I dont think its that great of a deal based on the price of the new models. But it has to be helllla cheap for me to buy something used, so I generally never think used prices are a good deal lol. But seems shady they are telling you its the mgs4 bundle.

I don't really care for the slims to be honest, and if it's a working PS3 I can get for $100 cheaper it'll be worth it.

Ugh I'm gonna need to get a new router with much better power and range. Perhaps an upgrade in band type. Any particular brand name suggestions?

I fail at networking. Anyone wanna tell me what I should be looking for when it comes to connecting two PCs, an xbox 360 and a PS3 to a wireless router?

I know G band is the new standard and works backwards with B band. N is the new sheriff in down but I don't know how fast/reliable it is or how good the range is. Anyone care to give a little insight for me?

N > G > B

That's basically how it boils down. G is fine though, that's what most people use since N is fairly new. B sucks balls (B for balls)

If you have a wireless adapter for your xbox360, make sure the router and adapter don't have the same frequency of your home phone, if you have one. Whenever someone calls, it'll kick you off the internet.
Same with wireless headsets. I had a pair that *** up my internet. Oh that pissed me off so much.

Luckily my PC and my 360 will be connected via cat5 cable. However my PS3 will be some distance away in the living room and the 2nd PC also will most likely be connected via wireless card.

I'd just like something that can handle 2 gaming systems and 2-3 PCs being connected to it at once with decent range. I'm willing to drop more than a bill on it if it can step up to the task.

The N configuration on the router here, even with my new RALink wifi card causes my connection (especially xi, since it's really fickle) to be unstable. I've had best stability with G access only. Old router throughputs suckkkk.

(Only mentioning that because with things like online gaming, stability > lag spiking/dropping/hanging every freaking 10 minutes ;-;)
Are you excited at the thought of being on Asura soon?
