Good lord, they make tarus waaaaaaay too weak to start out with. I got owned by a tiny mandragora despite depleting my MP on nukes on it quickly followed by missing nearly every swing on my staff and getting poisoned @2 HP.

I always eat tacos soloing the first 10 lvls or so. They like double your def and vit. Add 2 regen drink... or now FOV regen for cheapness deck myself out in def/vit gear and can usually take most Ts all the way to 10 without having to rest even on mages. Also adds mp/hp
Also the dex from the taco also helps you hit quite a bit since I think it probably doubles your dex too.

That'd be wonderful except I'm starting 100% fresh default no gil/items or anything from previous characters. The given supplies to start out are barely sufficient to get by D:

Also I devoloped this strat for the first mog bonaza when characters had to be lvl 5.
I got to the point where I could start a character and get it to 5 and back in town in less then 30 min play time. This was before FOV and no xp ring.

I'd rather hit 10 in 30-45 minutes than take 60-90 minutes and be capped on skill.
