Yeah um I have communicated with her. She is very very close minded and controlling. And actually at one point I could kinda control my dad but shes much better at that kind of stuff then me. Oh did I mention she was a shrink and loved playing head games?

She isn't a good shrink if she could/should have seen the destruction of both mental and psycological aspects she was creating for both you and her.
This comes to the bias that some step-parents have with children that are not their own. That their children means more than the "others." Which is caused by them spending a whole hell of a lot more time with their children than with the "other" children.
Which leads to bad parenting.

Your assuming she didn't see it and that that wasn't always her goal. After all I'd never be as good as her kids. LOl at how that turned out ;). I sure won that one by alot! Though they were already out of the house by then. It was mostly a big power trip for her.

You said "Stop it" which is the same thing as "Shut up" because to stop tying is to shut up.
If you depend on Comedy Central and "The Daily Show" as your news, then you have no right at all to form any opinion at all. That show doesn't show the news as it should, it shows biased news that could be considered "funny" to some.
Why do you have to twist around everything? I hate the Daily Show, I don't care about the news at all, and you're trying to say I "depend" on it.
Then don't think of it as "shut up" think of it as "redirecting your voice" to those that actually want to hear it.

Actually it is usually factual. Well the facts. Obviously the funny slants and opinions not as much. THough compared to the real news these days... yeah. And as far as swine flu goes that is the understatement of the year. I think more people died from normal strains of the flu this year then people got infected with swine flu...

You really should read the newspaper, even though they are about as biased as "The Daily Show." You should also watch Fox News, although they are just as biased. Don't take anything you hear for granted, and "mine the jewels of information" from the "mountain of ***" that they both spew.

I dunno about the infected. It all depends on how many were miss-diagnosed. I don't think think you're far off the mark though. Of course, I haven't seen the numbers lately.
I do agree that H1N1 isn't as bad as people make it out to be.
Edit: Also, some news stations have attempted to compare it with things like the normal flu to try to keep things more calm. People just focus on bits and pieces of it.

I fall asleep to the news...does it mean I take it in as being informed properly? I have it on because it's boring and full of misinformation which helps me fall asleep. Only way to get the proper information about something is to expose yourself to it.

They said they voted against it because it specified 1 contractor only, which isn't fair. But since nobody can give me what the actual ammendment would say, I can't tell you why or why not they should have voted on it.
