oh he's fine...he still has a huge bottle of moonshine...
After a couple of shots he felt like he was wearing a warm boa constrictor as a turban which snuggled his brain into submission while he giggled like a dope...

Last week was filled with wakes, funerals and emergency service calls to far off places at the most inopportune moments...

Life is a hurricane... and you try to spend as much time in the eye of it as you can...but the *** turns on you in an instant and there you go.... whipped by the winds... fighting to get back to right before all hell broke loose.

Unfortunately, I'm kinda in charge for the week so I need to be here.

Or I could lock the doors and shut off the lights. Actually that doesn't sound half bad.

Damn

Quote:
(CNN)When Celeste and Morne Nurse met their daughter's new schoolfriend, they were struck by the uncanny resemblance between the two girls.
Could this stranger be their older daughter who was kidnapped almost a decade earlier?

A DNA test revealed it was.

On Thursday, the woman who kidnapped the couple's daughter, Zephany Nurse, as an infant from a Cape Town hospital on April 30, 1997, was sentenced to 10 years prison.
Neither the abductor's name, nor the name Zephany grew up with, have been revealed in order to protect the girl's identity.

Zephany was raised by her abductor in the same city as her biological parents, and unknowingly became friends with her younger biological sister at school.
Zephany's sister, born four years after the kidnapping, attended the same school and the girls became friends after many people commented on their striking resemblance.

When the Nurses met their younger daughter's new friend, they were so taken by similarities that they contacted the authorities.
A subsequent DNA test confirmed the girl was their missing daughter.

PARKER! get a bow and arrow set and two hundred yards of bare copper wire from walmart and a railroad spike off the ground near a railroad track. then head over to meshi's office and wrap one end of the bare copper wire around the railroad spike and shove it in the ground near the transformer by his office, walk a hundred feet away and back about fifty and tie the other end around an arrow and shoot it over the power lines...

there should be a blinding lightning bolt explosion that knocks out the power for the entire grid... once you regain consciousness... run like the dickens!

That's some crazy ***.

In a similar story:

A Tale of Two Sisters

Long short short, Dominique Moceanu -- 1996 America Gold Medal gymnast -- had a sister that was born without legs and given up for adoption that grew up idolizing her older sister not knowing it was her older sister, and became a high-ranking tumbler of her own before they knew they were related.

Imagine someone you don't like in P&R (I know, difficult).

Maybe it's me, ***, I don't know. Doesn't matter who. But you don't agree with their opinions nor the way they chose to express them.

Now imagine you have to sit next to them at work, and completely independent of their opinions or behavior, they also have a really grating voice and eat crunchy things at their desk, chewing with their mouth open. And they're always talking. To anyone who will listen. And if no one will listen, they're calling someone who will and they talk on the phone in an even louder voice because whoever they're calling is apparently hard of hearing.

Now take all of this and imagine it's the least irritating thing in your world today.

My day so far.

I occasionally miss working in a real office with other people - then my brain reminds me about open plan offices and my nostalgia magically dries right up.

My morning is a gigantic *** fiasco, but I'm safe from both fault and blame, so all that really remains is seeing how much of the cleanup I will have to do (spoiler: it will be all of it).

All of which sets me on the path to wanting to watch the world burn. Maybe I'll put [-] back in P+R or something, to soothe those urges

Yeah. The same reason I have the ability to post as I get work done is the reason this person has the ability to...basically never shut their *** yap. So I can't really complain in the grand scheme.

I just can't wait until we play musical cubicles again.

For me, it's not the people, it's not the environment, hell it's not even the harsh office lighting.

I just want to be able to work in my pajamas. That's all I ask.

My current client insists on video calls for meetings, which means I am once again subject to the tyranny of shirts.

Pants, as always, are absolutely optional.

Whatever is not forbidden is compulsory. And apparently pants are not forbidden.
