Cps teachers voted to do away with that... So now they don't get paid at all over the summer... My brother doesn't like the change lol...

If they maintain some other form of employment over the summer it's beneficial though, isn't it? From a tax standpoint maybe at least? (I mean, I understand if your brother simply wants to relax and spread his cash out, I'm just saying.)

Well the bonuses get paid out over the summers too 301s and even SIGs if they're at a school where its applicable. If they work summer school they're essentially getting 2 paychecks. I think they can even file for unemployment in states where its allowed during the summers.

I really have no clue, honestly. I just know a lot of teachers that do extra work during the summer.
Though I've never heard of any teacher friend of mine getting any sort of bonus.

Also, 123 passed which means I'm getting two more stipends this year. Not sure how large those will be, but it'll help me through the rough months (first one is in September and the second is in January).
If anything, it gives me a chance to spend some time with my family.

Well, I still have to live with a roommate as my loans escalate. I'm still living paycheck to paycheck and the amount they take out of my check for the retirement of other teachers is staggering.
I opted to get lower checks throughout the year so that I could get paid a little more in the summertime. Also, the 301 money I get is from all the time I spent working when I wasn't getting paid like chaperoning a dance, spending countless hours tutoring kids or judging speech tournaments (before I became a coach). I classify those hours onto two documents and get a little extra when I need it the most.

I made queso and a rhubarb tart earlier. After the kids sleep I'll make the rest of the fajitas. Mmm Mexican....my way. Been a long time
Mil and I are going to share a bottle of champagne he bought me 2 years ago and enjoy a lovely summer night while the kids *hopefully* sleep.
Tomorrow we're going to an Asian cultural festival and some outdoor concerts.

I barely use the tablet to draw for my own pleasure. Still the old, trusty pencil, charcoal, or sharpie to paper. You should ask in MSPC.
