Me and the UPS guy are cool. He knows when we're home and intentionally brings stuff on the last pass around before ending his shift. Because he knows people I dunno... work.
USPS is a mixed bag. Sometimes you get stuff, sometimes they make you pick it up because they couldn't be arsed to knock or buzz the doors.
FEDEX? These guys just drive past and claim no one was home, I've caught the dumb *** trying to sneak a door tag rather than knock (because the package wasn't in the truck) and because their facilities are dozens of miles from me whenever they *** up, it's a huge ***.
Anything shipped FEDEX sets off my ragebells. Private corporations are more efficient? HAHAHA, yeah no.

USPS definitely does the "didn't knock" thing. The problem with USPS is the only time I can even go there is on Saturday, and the post office doesn't open until like 9 or 10 on Saturday (it's been a while since I had to go), which means half my *** day off wasted because MAIL *** WOULDN'T KNOCK AND DOESN'T WORK AFTER 4:00.
I think you just have shitty FedEx drivers though. They're normally on point around here. They can be tough to get sign-on-delivery-required stuff from but otherwise are okay.
Generally I'm a UPS fan though. They're the best.

Veterans day is coming, I've never gone out to get a free meal but I've been wanting to. I just feel awkward and ashamed a bit. I don't know maybe it was the people I was with but they made it seem like those people were beggars.

Seems like you need new friends. I go out every Veterans Day to eat breakfast at Denny's. Not for the food, though thats an awesome perk, but because I enjoy sitting and talking to the older foreign war veterans and sharing our experiences.

Every time I see commercials on television for Wounded Warrior Project and similar charities I just get enraged. We shouldn't need organizations to ask for handouts for veterans; we waste literally billions of taxpayer dollars on boondoggle projects that are literally never going to pan out -- projects that even the military brass has said they don't want -- but veterans with service-related disabilities need to panhandle on obscure television networks because they can't even afford the airtime on major networks?
