Kara mentioned her in-laws were coming in to help out beforehand. Our beautiful baby boy was born this morning around 7 o'clock. 3590 grams and 52cm (7lbs 14oz and 20.5") So far he is very healthy and wonderful. Our daughter met him a couple of hours ago and she patted his head while saying baby many times and then patted my head. Incredibly sweet. It's Mil's turn for a nap and the baby boy is sleeping, so if anyone is interested, below is a brief version of our labor story since Tuesday. labor story said: So far everything turned out well and we are set to go home tomorrow. I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend!! :) Bahamut.Kara said: » Our beautiful baby boy was born this morning around 7 o'clock. 3590 grams and 52cm (7lbs 14oz ) So far he is very healthy and wonderful. Although that seems like a lot in grams... which is a little less than 8 pounds, ok sounds normal then. Congrats! \o/
Congrats Kara and Milamber! ^^
Sorry to hear about the complications and c-section, but at least you got through it all (and probably get some nice morphine or something for the road, maybe, when you do finally get to go!) :p I do hear c-section children are smarter on average, maybe due to not having gone through the Play-Doh Fun Factory™ of life. ^^;; Congrats again to you both! Glad everyone is good Kara.
Congrats! Morning all. I hope it finds you alert. the wolves are at the door...
I am a happy little camper. overcast & 70... so god damn delightful. I have nothing to report for the weekend. the AC broke & I almost died in the 100 degree heat saturday. I decided southerners know what's up, chugged some jack daniels & fell asleep. It was pretty dull all around. anyone besides Kara do anything interesting? Siren.Mosin said: » Morning all. Lots of good deals, but nothing I fell in love with enough to go back to having a mortgage. aren't you in Idaho? find some land with no neighbors dog!

The idea was to sell our house, buy 2 new cars and get into something slightly smaller for near even money. Siren.Mosin said: » Morning all. I hope it finds you alert. the wolves are at the door... Had so much fun that even while half-conscious he was begging to go back in, between five second micro-naps. *wakes up* "Go in, go in!" *passes back out, rinse, repeat* Lakshmi.Rooks said: » Siren.Mosin said: » Morning all. Nothing out of the ordinary other than watching the spazzy bones nephew on Saturday. He introduced me to 'Five Nights at Freddy's'. How a seven-year-old does not end up with nightmares playing that is a mystery to me. Primo lounging, chores, weekend super breakfasts. Good stuff. The older ones are free on Android for some reason, though they weren't expensive in the first place. Maybe it's partially playing on a 7 inch screen or I'm just not susceptible to jump scares, but I didn't find the first one remotely scary. We watched a playthrough on Youtube so I could gauge before I downloaded it. (I'm not pissing off his mom.) Something about standing around an abandoned Chuck E Cheese with homicidal animatronics made think it would be better to suggest a rousing game of Mario Kart. EDIT: "Mario Kart is for babies," according to a kid whose level of sophistication is that of Fart2D2 jokes. Who knew? Those guys drive me up a wall. That didn't scare you, dude... I guess I see the appeal, Dead Space isn't exactly ok for young'uns. I wish I could [+] that so many more times.
Why watch a person play a game when you can play one yourself? I can see how it was beneficial in my situation, as an example, to monitor the content for approval. What creeps me out is seeing kids on phones and tablet in public spaces ALL THE DAMN TIME. I hate Pewdiepie
The only LPs I like are done by the roosterteeth/AH guys and it's only for multiplayer games really Like their Minecraft/GTA type LPs

Lakshmi.Rooks said: » This is at least 20% of the reason I stopped playing XIV. No one wants to actually attempt boss fights, they want to watch videos of the strat and then ape that until victory. Most groups want you to watch a video first so you have some clue of what you're doing so it doesn't take a few hours extra for you to learn what the mechanics are. It's usually fine when a fight first comes out but after it's been out for a few weeks it's annoying when a few people know the fight and the rest go in blind and you just wipe and wipe and wipe. When you're timed at 60-90 minutes and each group does it it gets very annoying. If you've at least watched a video you'll have some clue of where to stand and what the mechanics do and it makes practicing the fight a lot less frustrating. This is only for Extreme primals and 8 man raids though, in 24 man and non-ex/raid content it doesn't matter. It's different from XI where you could just read a little about the fight and be alright, XIV is so much more punishing when you fail the mechanics and most people are tired of doing old fights and wiping constantly because a few people screw it up again and again. |
