He's never going to top Rob Roy which is, in my opinion, one of the finest movies ever and contains the best (well, top two; but best serious) sword duel in movie history.
He's a great actor and should clearly continue to work. I just wish he'd be in some better movies again. All the popcorn action movies are fun, but he's got so much talent to keep doing these near-paraody-level sequels.

I like 70s, 80s, and early 90s action movies.
Stallone is just so great though because he never seems to realize what's satire and what isn't. First Blood was a great movie based on great source material in a serious way, but for instance say...Judge Dredd...is that much better because he thinks it's a serious movie.
There are also those who have kids who may walk in.

You should, however, watch Walker, Texas Ranger. Everyone should. It should be mandatory. Along with Daniel Boone, starring Fess Parker. R.I.P. Mr. Parker.

That's sort of the thing; I think they're all just money to him and he's well aware of how *** goofy the premise is. It's like he's trolling the producers and they don't even know.

I mean he likes movies in general and watches pretty much everything that comes out, however when he really enjoys something he will rewatch it over and over and over and over. And I have to suffer through this.
So far nothing tops the Gladiator, we watched that more than 100 times. I stopped counting after that point.

Lincoln Hawk, Cobra, come to mind.
Over the Top might be the greatest satire of 80's tournament movies, but you wouldn't know it by how super cereal its tone was.
