I don't have expectations. They lead to disappointment and misery. No, I try to take in the experience and appreciate it for what it is at the time.
But I'm thinking in general a spath day might be like a spa day before spath's major appearance at an anime convention as part of the Spath Worldwide Tour. You would need a day to unwind and have groupies give you foot massages while you get your hair dyed or whatever...

I've always been against it before because I've preferred renting and limiting my responsibility for upkeep and repair (and taxes) due to family history of bad experiences, but my wife and I have been talking about it (and have started saving for a move, be it an upgraded rental or our own place) for a while, as moving would behoove us in a couple of years because her lab is moving to the other side of the city, which doubles her commute time as currently situated.
I don't remember the last time I was as equally excited and filled with a foreboding dread.

I'm definitely warming to the idea though (of the house; not the whelps). Liking the idea of having a back yard firepit. Also, playing my drums again. Poor things have been in cases for six years.
