that's hilarious an off-the-cuff comment can spark such vigor in you two. I really don't care. Outside of feeding, clothing, & educating my children, you'd be hard pressed to get me to really give a *** about anything outside of that.
but more to the point, any group of weirdos anyplace can show you a good time & there would be good & bad things throughout. my point was more to the fact that other places in the world have had much more time to refine their identity, for good or ill. 1000's of years of history is just far more interesting to this peasant, but I have never asserted I was an authority on any topic either. so there ya go. It's a shame though that some essentials of that short historic culture is already lost, like the real origin of the American flag. What you lack in historic culture you make up with self-identifying culture and product culture. Most of the innovation comes from America be it music, art or technology. Other traditional cultural goods like sport flourish in America like in no other country nowdays. Sometimes I wonder why people from P&R report opinion posts that they don't agree with, we aren't going to delete non-offending posts and those who posted the post doesn't see that they have been reported.
After wondering about this I come to the realization that, oh yeah, it's P&R so the person reporting it is probably more of an idiot than the person who posted the reported content. |
