i've had four friends move to CO in the last year. Another two are going soon and bugging me to move with them.
I just had two friends of mine move from Colorado to here.
Also, just typing away at work, where I have to love everything about it because I haven't spent enough time here to dislike anything.
You've been there for a week or two and are working in the profession you want to and all you've done is *** since you got there lol... it's not just one or two things and it's not like it's not core to the job itself.
If you're already disliking it this much time to get into a new profession or a new school...

1. I've been here for two months.
2. I wasn't complaining about my principal's go get 'em attitude; in fact I think it's a breath of fresh air. What I was complaining about was that it was interfering with my ability to go home and watch tv in my underwear.
3. There are points of my job which I do enjoy. This being said, I was handed the short stick here, and everyone agrees here on campus. I don't care how hard hearted you are, when you have a class full of students who blatantly disrespect you, each other, the classroom and everything in between, even the strongest person can falter.

3. Boohoo. Everyone gets the short straw at one oint or the other. I guess you can whine to the other faculty about that and have them cup your balls so you feel better. People's true character show when they deal with the toughest situations...
You don't have to be hard hearted not to falter in that situation. It's pretty easy not to let kids opinions or actions affect you.
The reason most of this bothers me so much is you're shaping up to look like the typical give up teacher... blame it on the students and complain to everyone else how hard it is without seeming to do much to change things.

For quite awhile Mag has posted about his ideals and how he wished to contribute to the profession and how teachers are so very important to the students and he's already contradicting those ideals in practice... boss makes you stay late for the people you say you want to help improve their lives and all you do is *** about it cuz you can't go eat chips and watch hoarders while you plop your fatass down on the couch...
Idk I tend to think that venting about work is pretty normal, & here is a good place to do it, because no one really cares. I don't vent about work @ work, because I think that's a shitty thing to do to your co-workers.

I don't know what has me so angry and jaded but I seriously have been in a dark place about my job and everything about it, especially after I was so gung ho about changing lives. It's wearing me down emotionally, I can just feel it. But you're right; this is what I got into the profession for. I need to stop complaining about wanting how it was and do something about these kids now. ***, this is tough.

There's a difference betweeen venting and fundamentally giving up on your ideals... you guys like to coddle each other too much... Venting is all fine and good and I'm sure we've all done it before but sometimes you guys just gotta *** slap someone... To me this isn't venting... This is mag walking down a soul crushing path and him just letting it happen. Do I sound like a *** in reply? Most likely.
In the end even he can face the fact that it isn't solely about venting and I'm not saying you guys shouldn't be there to *** about ***with friends but sometimes its no good to just sit there and tell em everything will be ok and you're doing great buddy even if they aren't. It really isn't always the best thing to do if you're actually trying to help someone.

I don't think you guys are even listening to what he's saying and rather are just trying to be there for a buddy without actually listening.
Edit: Also, any line of work can be tough. People make it work or they give up and at that point they're more of a hinderance to the system than a help. Rise to the *** occassion and live up to the standards you at least set for yourself.

Celene(F) and Rowland(M) are more of the shyer members, but often say things that are witty, have a good pun and sometimes cause three page discussions. Celene hates when people hit on her. It doesn't stop them from trying.
Krizz is just social and likes to kill time here during work Tbest is about the same, except tends to be a douche to guys and affectionate toward girls.
Alyria is the most social female, gets groped a lot without provoking it by others, and Tairo ends up stabbing people for it. Cai is just a barrel of lols, I might be gay for him. If I wasn't straight.
Not sure about Citag, s/he's new. Kiriyu is just an in-out kinda person. Says one thing every three days that every guy makes a big fuss over. Ludoggy gets really defensive since she's asian and underage (might be 18 now).
