We are doing really good now. The move was tough and we lived with a complete A-hole for about 6 months, but things are looking up now :)

Bleh! I can't even begin to imagine how annoying it must have been. I don't even think I could live with my own parents again.

Hey Zah, you know your parents or grandparents that listen to nothing but CCR, the Beatles or the Rolling Stones? That's us now. Music for us just won't be the same. I mean sure, I still listen to modern Metal, but that's a different ballpark. When it comes to the current popular scene, it just can't compare.
And now by calling Grunge popular, Cobain is rolling in his grave.
Also, my favorite STP song by far is this little ditty:
Not many people know this one because most people hate the purple album, but I grew up with it, and this song is so sad. It got me through a lot of rough patches in my life. Nothing quite like sitting in an apartment with no electricity in the middle of winter and having a cd player that runs off of D batteries playing this song over and over again.

My grandparents thought CCR, The Beatles, etc. was hippie music. They were born in the 1920's and 1930's on both sides. Our immediate family has a habit of not producing until around age thirty and after. (Except for my dad's red-neck, weirdo side that we don't talk to.) My brother was the combo breaker as far as the immediate line.
My taste is purely from my dad. LOL!

nah, not really. the wife was with me, so I was safe for the most part.
It was probably waaaaaaaaayyyyyy more awkward for my poor friend. he had his ex - fiance there, plus his new chick from michigan that didn't really know anybody. I was doing my best to hang with her / keep her entertained. I only did a fair / midland job. it was kind of strange seeing some of those people again. I like when people ask me about facebook though, because I always roll my eyes in a /pinkies up sort of manner and decree "I don't have time for that silly ***" but in reality I just talk to strangers on here instead. lulz.
