People are bad at accepting things if they don't think they did anything to deserve it. This is me to a T. Whenever I get a compliment, I feel like I have to give one back. They say, "You should just take the compliment." Well, how the hell do I do that?

I'll see someone talking about something and bam... one time I tried to get someone something for their birthday and got blocked... personally I don't even care if I talk to the person again let alone get something in return... but I do have to be in the mood... If I do it though I do it just cuz I feel like it...

is it weird ***like the stapler off your desk? or the tape dispenser? dolls made out of their hair? eyelashes? macaroni art? There are a lot of details missing in these posts, things that could be the reason for the reaction....
susan, the undisputed queen of weird *** *** At some point my boss lost whatever natural instinct warns you when you are in the vicinity of crazy people and hired Susan.
At first glance EVERYONE ELSE noticed there is something terribly wrong with this girl. She was clearly anorexic/bulimic with dried straw for hair and a pallor completion that only could have come from serious malnutrition. She was also quite insane.
The "gifting" of unusual everyday items and food stuffs was particularly unsettling... She would try to hand strangers objects and refused to take no for an answer.
One example of many... She would order two lunches, eat one, go to the bathroom, come back and eat perhaps half of the second lunch and then try to give the leftovers away..perhaps to the cleaning lady the next day...or a random person walking down the street.
"I really want you to have this" she would say as she thrus an object like an old dirty coffee cup at a stranger "you look like you can use it" "please take it" "I really want you to have this" "please take it"

She was either physically or psychologically incapable of regulating her own body temperature. So she would do things like constantly adjust the temperature. The office thermostat, I couldn't care less about, but I had to drive her around in the company van and she would not stop touching the thermostat or raising or lowering the windows or take her sweater off or put her jacket on or take her jacket off and put her sweater on and then put her jacket back on over the sweater. And I couldn't drive fifteen minutes without her asking to stop to use the bathroom or get a coffee or get a bottle of water or use the bathroom or get a snack or use the bathroom or get a coffee or get a bottle of water or use the bathroom. It was as if every time she saw a sign on the road it would trigger a reflex. And for some reason I had to know every detail related to her discomfort. The level of oversharing had to be due to some mental illness that caused her to have no inner monologue. It was a never ending stream of complaints. The present complaints were all about her personal discomfort at that moment, when she ran out of things to complain about in the present she would complain about things in the past. And I am trying to share this feeling of being trapped in a van with this woman for hours and hours and hours and hours and hours with run on sentences and a wall of text with no paragraphs or indexing because I tell you after five or six hours I would start looking for large immovable concrete objects to slam the van into as I slowly increased the speed up over a hundred as the maddening blathering just would not stop I'm cold I'm hot I'm thirsty How long until we get there can we stop and get some water I need to use the bathroom it feels dry in here is it dry in here or is it hot it here I am thirsty again do you have any water can we stop and get some water I don't know how much longer I can go without using the bathroom I'm hungry I'm cold I'm hot I'm tired I'm thirsty are we there yet what time is it can i roll the window down its kind of stuffy in here but then I don't like it when the wind blows my hair can you roll the window up oh nevermind haha i can roll the window up but i am still hot and are we going to be stopping soon I need to use the bathroom. and the sweat is beading on my brow as my teeth clench and veins pop on my forehead and I can't escape there is no escape except for death ah sweet death and silence good lord I don't care if send me to hell as long as I can get out of this van and away from this creature.
